Pilot Chapter: Wedding Proposal (Part One)

Lori's Point of View
I am staring at the skyscraper wherein I saw different faces, cars and buildings and also, pollution. Taking a deep breath and thinking of someone.
>FLASHBACK<
"Bes, wag kang mala-late sa kasal dito sa San Agustin church ahh! Pupunta daw ang boyfie mo pero syempre di ko pa sinasabi sa kanya na nandito ka na sa Manila." Kakasagot ko palang ng phone pero ito agad ang sinabi niya.
"O sige! Wait lang! nakakahiya naman na wala akong dalang regalo?!" Nag-aalangang tanong ko sa kanya
"Okay lang yun bes, ang mahalaga ay nandito ka! Yung oras ng kasal is 6:00 p.m. and kung gusto mong tumerno, wear beige." Sabi niya pa.
"Okay, sige I'll go with you later pero sa reception na ako magpapakita sa kanya!" tuwang tuwang sabi ko pa.
"Sige bes, di ka naman mahahalata non kasi Secondary Sponsor yun eh! Sa likod ka nalang pumwesto." sabi niya pa.
"Sige, Gagayak na ako ahh! Thank you ulit sa ever-supportive na bestfriend-ko-slash-pinsan-ni-Edward!"
"Your welcome Lori! Bye na ahh! Can't Wait to See You!"

I checked my closet and luckily I found a simple beige dress na off-shoulder then I started to take a shower and after that I put a simple make-up and I let my hair dry.
Then a message pop-up to my screen.
From: Anne
"Bes! Where are you na? It's already 5:30 p.m.. Do you want me to fetch you up?"
I started to reply.
"Nope, I can handle myself. I'll be on my way there, just making myself presentable."

I put up my stilleto and bring a handbag then I make sure that the windows and doors are already locked. Nalaman ko kasi na may nagnanakaw dito sa mga units then I went to the parking lot and brought my car and already go to the church since it's not that far from here.
It's already 5:45 p.m. when I reached the church and I secretly went to the back door and enter the chapel. I texted Anne but she didn't reply and I finally called her and luckily, she answered.
"Where are you? I'm sitting here on the few from the Right Side of the Back Door?" I whispered.
"Okay, let's meet there after the mass. Sorry di kita mapupuntahan kasi madami ng tao dito sa labas and baka masundan pa ako ni Edward." pagpapaliwanag pa ni Anne.
"Sige, sa sasakyan ko nalang tayo magkita. See you later!"

Mabilis na tumakbo ang oras at natapos na nga ang kasal ng kapatid ni Edward. Picture-taking nalang ang nagaganap kaya pumunta na ako sa sasakyan at baka maabutan pa nila ako dito.
Tinext ko na din si Anne kung anong kulay at plate number ng sasakyan ko. Nagsisialisan na din ang mga tao sa simbahan at nakita ko na si Anne na pinauuna sila Edward. After all the guests and Edward was gone pinaandar ko na ang kotse at itinapat ito sa simbahan. Sumakay naman agad si Anne at pagkasarado ng pintuan ay.
*HUKK*
Ang higpit ng yakap niyaa!
Agad naman akong kumalas sa kanya dahil bumusina ang sasakyan na nasa likod ko.
