"It's the only way to show you truly love me and that we can be together for all eternity," Jonathon says in a slightly mocking tone from behind her.

Adelaide turns around to look at Jonathon.

"Adelaide, do not forget how he hurt you so," Jonathon reminds her, "left you for...her..." he glances at Sabinè, causing Adelaide to focus her building anger momentarily towards Sabinè.

Adelaide hisses at Sabinè, forcing the other woman to move out from behind the thrones and ready herself should Adelaide attack her.

Truthfully, if Adelaide decides to, Sabinè can think of nothing better than killing her in front of Harry.

"Adelaide!" Jonathon snaps at her, "prove you belong to me and that you belong by my side," he gestures to the empty throne next to him, "kill him."

Adelaide turns back to Harry and begins to descend the stairs, her eyes narrowing into slits as she flexes her hands that lay at her sides.

Harry can feel she is readying herself to attack him and he cannot bear it.

What to do.

What to do.

He starts to slowly walk backwards, careful not to make any sudden movements, not wanting to provoke her into attacking him.

Harry is sure that if he could get her by herself, away from Jonathon's control and talk to her, he would surely be able to get her to remember him.

Remember who she is.

Remember who they are.

It could be his only chance.

He knows he needs to get her alone.

"You'll never catch me," he whispers lowly enough so that only she can hear him before he turns and sprints off through the castle, hoping his idea works and only Adelaide herself gives chase.

He's gone before Adelaide, or anyone else in the room, can even comprehend it.

The newborn vampires scream and hiss and begin to make their way towards the door to follow him but are stopped by Jonathon.

"Adelaide," Jonathon waits for her to turn around and face him, "what did he say to you?" he asks, not being able to hear the words spoken by Harry.

"He said I'll never catch him," she replies with disdain.

Jonathon opens his mouth to respond but is stopped by a hand on his arm, Adelaide's eyes narrowing as she watches Sabinè lean down to whisper in his ear.

"Let her go after him, it is the only way she can prove her worth to you," she suggests.

Adelaide watches the interaction between the two of them.

She does not like her.

She is too cosy for her liking towards Jonathon, who claims to love her.

And she remembers the images of her with Harry and it has her feeling sick to her stomach though she is confused as to why it does.

Harry is nothing to her.

Harry does not love her.

Harry is the enemy.

Harry must be killed.

Jonathon mulls Sabinè's suggestion over before coming to a decision.

"Bring me the head of Harry Styles," he orders Adelaide, "only then will I know you truly love me."
