Misery

Chapter four

I walked up the stone path and then knocked on the door . I told them who I wanted to see and she came down the stairs .

"Marnie , Iam sorry . I shouldn't of shouted at you or punched Zoe in the face but I just wanted to say that I should never of shut you out and I will not be returning to school . Iam sorry for all of the pain I have caused . "
Marnie took a deep breath and she teared up . " Imogen you don't have to apologise . I do . I  started the rumours , I told the teacher and I made Zoe into a monster . I I Iam so sorry for your pain . When Zoe told me she saw a scar I knew that it was me who made you do it . Iam so guilty for all of your pain . I should of never told Zoe about your family . I don't expect your forgiveness but I just want to let you know Iam sorry for the hell I've caused"

I stood in shock . I didn't know what to do . I knew she started the rumours but I never knew that she told Zoe to physically hurt me . I just told her . "I forgive you but please can you tell everyone that Iam never coming back and tell them that they all have left a scar on me and that everyday it's torture to see the scars because it reminds me of what they have done . "
I then walked of and jumped into the car .

I saw Marnie face tear up and her parents stood in disgust . In a way I felt better for hearing her apology but then I felt bad about what her parents will do . Gio drove me home that night.
I hugged her and told her Thankyou . She went to bed and I went back to the swing . I carved my name next to Carlies . I was gonna be with her now .

I took one last big swing and then I untied the rope from the wood and  imagined I was above water as I tying it around my neck and then I felt like I was flying of the edge and diving into the sapphire blue water . And that birds flew into the sunset as I flew up to the clouds to be free from my misery .
