My ghost, I'm sick! But in my overdosed painkiller-induced haze. I thought of you. (Yes I'm fishing for ahhs and hos and thanks yous but I'm still sick so boo!)

"Hello, you must be Hazel." The stranger says from the distance. "My name's James, pleased to make your acquaintance" He finished.

"I'll call you back" Hazel whispered into the receiver and hung up, his eyes locked with the strangers.

He was older, maybe the same age as Xavier, give or take a few years, only healthy, standing straight where Xavier's back still curved though he no longer needed the aid of the walker.

He was taller, measuring a few inches over the omega. He was Caucasian, lean with blue eyes and dirty blonde hair dusted with silver strands.

He wore a light grey four-piece suit and a white shirt paired with an aqua blue handkerchief and tie. His cufflinks were diamond encrusted.

"Was that Zander?" He spoke with an accents Hazel couldn't place and as he approaches to offer a hand, it looked more like he was gliding then walking.

The man appeared out of place, in a why caviar would surround by plastic plates, mashed potatoes, and fried chicken. The omega couldn't help but stare.

Raised dark blonde brows and Xavier cleared throat made him realize he was asked a question and had yet to answer.

"It was" He provided, late and awkward.

James nodded once, casually retreaded his hand as he turned to walk over to the unoccupied chair and with an elegant gesture, offered it to Hazel.

Hesitantly, the omega took it, sitting on the plastic furniture the most proper way he could. Back straight, leg slightly together and hands laid gently on his lap. It was anything but comfortable, but if James or Xavier noticed his discomfort, neither commented on it.

Instead, the former alpha took a seat at the edge of the bed, his posture relaxed which did nothing to ease the stiffness of Hazel's own spine.

"Have he told you about me?" James questioned and it took Hazel a few seconds to form an answer.

"Somewhat." He began, fighting not to wipe his clammy hands on the fabric of his jeans. " He told me who you were, said he didn't think you'd seek me out"

"That's ignorant of him." Xavier mumbled to himself a second before James says: " I had every intention of meeting you Hazel" The elegant man ran a hand through his hair, an action that left clear trails in his previously perfect hair.

"I intend to apologize, but first" James continued pausing as he turned and took a seat on the bed beside Xavier with only a few inches between them. "I want to tell you a story"

"Apologise for what?" Hazel voiced in confusion. But his question, nerves, and worry were fanned away with the wave of James's hand.

"My family" He began in his calm tone. "Has been in power at the Diamond Lyko spack for over a hundred years. My father took over after his father and me after mine." He paused to assure Hazel's attentiveness. The omega glanced over at the former alpha when he received no indication of aid, his eyes connected with bleu and he slowly nodded. James continued.

"I found my mate, a warrior by the name of Kelly. Ironic really, she had such a gentle, soft name when she was anything but. She was a fifth-generation commander." A smile graced his lips and for a moment he seemed to glow and the indication of age deepened with the appearance of smile line.

"I learned what it is to be a better man and a greater leader with her by my side. I believe even if we were humans, with no destine other made just for us. We would have still found one another and had a love as strong as the one we shared" Then, as soon as it appeared the glow, the smile lines and the gentle curve of his lips, were all gone.
