So, I'm late again and to most of you fantoms I'm sure you are thinking "As usual" but this time it was not my fault. My house has one computer which s used by four people and with finals coming up for one of my sisters it's been a battlefield. Surprised? Anyway, this changes nothing, I'll still be updating tomorrow and Sunday as planned if not a day later. Vote, comment but most of all enjoy!!

"Hazel" His name called with a familiar voice in a saddened tone drew the omega out of his daze. Dark eyes stared at him with worry. Hazel stood, forcing a smile, his lips moving to deny that he'd been simply sitting in the dark thinking things he didn't want to think about and hoping beyond hope that Zander would come home tonight.

He wanted to say how he'd picked up Vince from his friends' house. How they'd walk the long way home, stopping off for ice cream. That they'd returned, cooked and had dinner together. He'd read the boy his favorite bedtime store, the one with the lost wolf and the goddess of the moon. That's he had even played the role of father and kissed Vince's forehead after tucking him into bed and wishing the little boy a good night's rest. But as his lips parted, he found his tongue betrayed him.

"I'm okay," It said. "Just thinking" Hazel added with an awkward smile. His hands sweating and so he wiped them on his jeans.

What time was it? He wondered, glancing aimlessly for a wall clock that did not exist in the room.

"About Va-" Zander began, running his hand through his hair.

"Vince came back" Hazel hurried interrupted him. He didn't want to hear it, couldn't. Not just yet, not when he hadn't yet come to terms with what was happening.

"He heard about it, asked me questions I couldn't answer," Hazel told the alpha. "He's confused"

"I'll talk to him" Zander promised. Taking a step towards the omega.

It had been a long day. Difficult hours and all he needed, all he wanted was too wrapped his arm around his mate, breath in his scent and whispers that he wouldn't let him go. That everything would be okay. That he was sorry that this had to happen when things were becoming normal between them. But as he advanced, Hazel retreated.

He too wanted to be in the arms of his destined. But it would be too easy to relax in Zander hold. Too tempting to tell himself that things would get better. That he was safe and secure and that the bubble that surrounded them hadn't shattered, only trembled. He was too desperate for sweet nothings.

"I" He began, not knowing what he was going to say. That he was leaving? When he wanted to stay. That he needed space? When he wanted nothing more then to remain close. To be closer.

He was stomped and in that time of confusion. He was captured, strong arms enclosed around his shoulders and pulled him against the solid frame that was Zander.

He couldn't help but gaps, filling his lungs with comforting mint chocolate and the warm of a mate.

Despite his earlier reaction, despite him telling himself that he wouldn't. And against the list of things he compiled as he sat in the dark, working out things he shouldn't do. His arms enclosed around Zander's middle. And he buried his head in the crock of the alpha's neck. Breathing in the comfort of having him close.

"I won't leave" He whispered against the fold of Zander's neck."Even if you ask me to, I won't go"

He continued, his embrace tightening. Zander's followed.

"I was looking for divorce papers," The alpha began. Kissing the top of Hazel's' head. "I've been havening them drawn out and renewed for years. She signed them"
