||epologue||

ethan and i are sat in the living room of our house we've shared for almost 14 years. we have two kids, lily and jackson.

lily is our oldest, being 13. she has my chocolate brunette hair and her fathers gorgeous eyes. freckles lay on her nose like
a blanket.

jackson our youngest, being 9. he has black hair and my eyes. his cheeky smile causes dimples to appear. making me laugh every time.

"mom! dad!" lily runs downstairs beaming, her phone in her hand.

"is everything okay?" i ask, worried.

"yeah, of course. i just wanted to tell you guys about my new friend, kyle" she smiles and sits in between ethan and i.

"ooh, is he in your classes? are you dating?" ethan teases, causing lily to laugh and roll her eyes.

"no, dad, kyle lives in florida," she explains, "we're internet best friends".

i look at ethan, who has turned to face me. i smile and him and raise an eyebrow, causing him to let out a laugh.

"what's so funny?" she asks.

"oh, nothing. tell kyle i said hi," i reply, "and tell him you will meet one day. never loose hope".

she smiles at us both before running back off upstairs. i move closer to ethan and cuddle into him, he kisses the top of my head, "i love you".

"i love you too, internet best friend".

i've decided to not write my second book as it was up for a week an no one read it, so unless this chapter gets 5 votes i'll take a break from writing:)
