Lila Stilinski had beauty that no one really expected, especially when they meet her brother first. That beauty was also the reason she ended up in the situation she was now in. Stuck in-between two arguing sixteen year old boys, one of which just so happens to be her best friend. Of course, if Jackson hadn’t came along then the situation Lila was in probably would have gone to far so the girl was thankful for her friend. The other boy? Well, not so much, especially once Jackson recognized him from the Lacrosse team and swore that he was going to tell Coach what had happened. Jackson Whittemore didn’t care if the team would lose a valuable player. Lila was too important to him, and he would let people know just how protective he was over her. If it wasn’t a well known fact that he was taken by Lydia Martin, people would have believed that the two were in a relationship. Some people, like Danny, actually believed that Lila and Jackson would make a better couple than Lydia and Jackson. Probably because of the fact that Jackson actually seems to care more for Lila than he does for Lydia. But maybe that it because Lila actually does need to be cared for.

“Thanks, Jackson.” Lila seemed to breathe out her thanks as the teenage boy hugged her tightly. The minute he heard her cry out in pain, he had come running to her rescue. She was thankful for that. It seemed like whenever she was getting herself into trouble, Jackson was there to save her from it. It was the same thing Stiles had done when they were younger but she didn’t know Jackson back then. She didn’t know Jackson until after she met Lydia Martin and became best friends friends with her. Of course that friendship faded when Lila got into Lacrosse and Lydia got into makeup. That friendship pushed her into her friendship with Jackson though, so she did have to thank Lydia for something. Not that she’d ever tell Lydia thank you after all the emotional pain she had caused. Lila wasn’t sure how her twin brother could fall in love with someone like the strawberry blonde but he did and Lila had to accept that. Even though she is about a hundred percent positive that Lydia will never go for her brother. Unless he suddenly get good at Lacrosse and become insanely hot, anyway.

“It’s no problem, Li. He was being a jerk.” Jackson smiled at the girl as she pulled away from him and picked up her bookbag. “Are you ready for tryouts?” Jackson now questioned his best friend with a smile and she rolled her eyes at him. Of course she was ready for Lacrosse tryouts. She had only been training with Jackson and Danny for three month in hope of making first line. It was actually entertaining to watch all the boys go into shock when they realize that the pretty girl is actually good at the game. So when the rest of the teens finally started to file out of their classrooms, Lila and Jackson got out earlier for yearbook along with Derek who immediately began harassing Lila, the two friends took off towards the locker rooms where they quickly got changed into their practice outfits and ran onto the field.

“Who are you and why are you on the field?” It wasn’t an unusual question for Lila to hear when she was walking onto the Lacrosse field. In Beacon Hills it is mostly only teenage boys who bother with the sport. Most the girls just go to stare at the teenage boys and decide which ones are hot. It was actually a good thing that Lila is best friends with an excellent lacrosse player or she’d probably never get the chance to try out. It wasn’t a rude question though, not this time. It was a genuine question and it wasn’t just directed towards Lila. The coach was also talking to her dorky twin brother who was standing a few people away with a goofy grin on his face. “Are you going to answer the question?” Now he sounded annoyed and Jackson nudged Lila’s side before motioning for her to answer the question. With a sigh, the girl stepped forward and glanced around her at the teenage boys. All of who were staring at her like they had never seen a girl before.

“I’m Lila Stilinski. I’m here to try out for the team like the rest of these teens.” Lila spoke with confidence as she stepped back into the line after speaking. Stiles followed her lead and said almost the exact same thing only he said his first name instead of Lila’s. The coach seemed to be stunned that the two teens  were related seeing as Lila actually look like she could play Lacrosse as opposed to her brother who looks like he should be at home playing video games. Lila loves her  brother but in her opinion he could really use some more training. Or maybe Coach realized that Stiles had been on the team last year and he really didn’t need to tell him his name. As the Coach nodded, Lila sent Jackson a smirk as she took off my sweatshirt so that she was just in her black sports bra and maroon running shorts. She didn’t even have to look at him to realize that he rolled his eyes.

“Great, I see you are friends with Jackson. You have to be good at Lacrosse. Boys and girl, let’s get started on the laps already.” The coach blew his whistle and the team immediately started running. Lila set off, pulling her hair up as she went. It didn’t take long before she was leading the boys around the field with Jackson and Danny at her sides. The three of them jogged easily around the field and Lila sent her brother a concerned look everytime she ran passed him. Honestly, what possessed her brother and made him think he would be good at sports? It just isn’t in his genes, he is more of the bookworm of the family. Their mom was the same way and the two of them always read together. Their dad was the one who played Lacrosse with Lila, he was the only one who thought she would be good at it. Well, the only one other than Jackson who seems to believe that Lila can do anything.

“What are you doing Scott?” Lila hissed at her brother’s best friend who was surprisingly doing really well. It was a dumb question because Lila obviously knew that Scott was trying out for the team. She also knew that Scott McCall had asthma which meant running was hard for him because he was unable to breathe. Sweat was beginning to form on Lila’s forehead as she passed the coach for the fourth time with Scott now at her side. At the same time she looked back to see her brother struggling to keep up to the rest of the teams who looked to be struggling in their own ways. Most of them with their breathing techniques, Lila noted.

“I was trying to talk to you about it earlier but you ran off with Jackson.” Scott sighed as Lila rolled her eyes and jogged passed him with a flip of her ponytail. There were whispers behind her as she completed her final lap at the same time the captain of the team did. As soon as she took as sip of water and placed it back down, Lila immediately began to stretch as Jackson and many other boys joined her by the bleachers. While many of the boys rested, Jackson began doing pushups and Lila dropped down to sit next to him. Unlike her best friend, it was pretty much impossible for Lila to get through doing one pushup. She could do almost a hundred situps in a row, though.

“Is that everyone?” Coach asked as Stiles collapsed onto the ground infront of him. Lila basically covered her face in embarrassment as Scott helped Stiles to his feet. “Yeah, that is everyone.” The coach blew the whistle and all the boys immediately jumped up. Lila simple held my hand out for Jackson to help her up. He did just that, pulling her up onto her feet and walking with her over to the coach. “Okay, get in a line and try to get the ball in the goal.” That was a simple enough task considering  Lila use to spend her free time throwing Lacrosse balls into an empty goal. She use to have a lot of free time when her brother was running around with Scott and Jackson was always with Lydia.  The boys immediately did as told and Lila got in line behind her brother as he looked back at her and laughed.

“Where did she learn to do that?” Lila heard someone whisper as she took the front spot in line and cracked her neck. She hated the sound but it helped her to focus on what she was doing.  Lila could basically hear them holding their breath as she took a small step forward before taking off in a run. She  lifted the stick above her shoulder and swung, releasing the ball at the perfect moment to send it flying into the goal. Danny, the goalie as always, missed it by seconds and she smiled, biting her lip as she jogged over to her brother. Jackson stepped up next and Lila rolled her eyes as the two of them walked to the back of the line.  She already knew that Jackson would score, there was no way that he wouldn’t score. The rest of tryouts flew by with many, many comments from the guys to the other guys and few comments from the actual coach of the team. Lila was sweating and her muscles ached by the time the tryouts were actually over but she still turned to Jackson and smiled.

“We are still having movie night, right?”
