“I want to watch a sports movie.” Jackson informed Lila Stilinski as she climbed into his Porsche and laid her backpack in the floor. She gave him a sweet smile while shaking her head at him. “Come on, Lila. Please? Lydia never lets me watch what I want.” Jackson made a pouty face and Lila tapped his cheek with the same smile on her face.  She laughed happily as he smacked her hand away and started the car. This was literally how their friendship worked. When Lila wants something she annoys him, he gets annoyed, and they do exactly what she wants to do.

“Jax, I’m not watching a sports movie.” Lila laughed as she pulled out her cell phone and pulled up the list of movies that she made with Jackson a while ago.  “Well, we could watch Soul Surfer.” She offered and Jackson whined as he pulled out of the school lot. It only took a few seconds for him to agree though and Lila leaned over and kissed his cheek. Luckily Lydia had made best friends with the new girl which meant she was going over to her house afterschool. Lila wouldn’t have to deal with her best friend’s insane girlfriend.

“I guess that could work.” Jackson sighed as the two rode in silence to the movie store. “At least you aren’t making me watch a romance movie.” Jackson cringed at the thought and Lila laughed slightly. She had spent hours listening to Jackson complain about how Lydia never wanted to watch anything knew. He swears up and down that she only wants to watch The Notebook. Jackson did appreciate that Lila was willing to sometimes compromise with him. Lila doesn’t care to deal with his childish and boyish yet Lydia seems to get embarrassed if he does something wrong by accident even.

“You get the movie, I’ll get snacks.” Lila proposed and Jackson nodded as they entered the video store. Off to the side was a snack center and Lila immediately headed over there. After countless movie nights with Jackson, Lila had learned exactly what Jackson like to eat when watching movies. Their movie night was kind of his cheat night when it came to what he would and wouldn’t eat. Lila quickly grabbed the food and paid before making her way over to Jackson who was just know paying for the rental. “Ready, Jackson?”

“Yeah. Hey! You know that I would pay for those.” Jackson frowned as he saw the two bags that Lila was carrying.  He knew how complicated her home situation was and he usually pays for the things when they are together. Lila hates it so she tries to avoid situations like that. The younger teen smiled up at her friend with a shy look as they got back into the car. “My parents love you, Lila. They tell me to pay for you.” Jackson grabbed her hand with his free hand while pulling out of the parking lot. Lila smiled at her best friend while rolling her eyes.

“I have money, Jax.” Lila laughed while messing with their intertwined hands. Their friendship was so close that it doesn’t seem weird to hold hands anymore. It was almost a normal thing. “I can pay for myself. Wait, are we going to my house?” Lila asked in confusion as Jackson pulled onto her street. The lacrosse player nodded at her and she scoffed while rolling her eyes. She should have known movie night would be at her house since Lydia is more than likely going to go to Jackson’s after hanging out with the new girl. She’d probably kill the both of us if she saw us together.

“Yes, you should have known that.” Jackson teased as he pulled into her driveway. Stiles’ jeep wasn’t in the driveway which meant he must be at Scott’s or the two are out running around.  Most likely the second since the two never stay out of trouble. “So are we watching in the living room or your room?” Jackson questioned as Lila unlocked the front door and they entered the house. Closing and locking the door back, she walked into the kitchen with Jackson at her side and hopped onto the counter.

“My dad hates when we hang out in my room.” Lila told Jackson while unpacking our food and sitting it on the counter. Jackson nodded thoughtfully while getting out bowls and cups for the food. “I think that means we should hang out in my room.” She winked at Jackson as he laughed and agreed. The two of them, immediately began their usual movie night traditions. That meant changing into their pajamas and eating junk food all night. Stiles would probably be home at some point but he never really bothers Lila when he sees Jackson’s car in the driveway.

“You know Lydia would kill me right?” Jackson asked as he laid down on the bed beside Lila after putting in the movie. “I mean, I am shirtless in bed with you next to me wearing my t-shirt and spandex shorts.” Jackson teased with a smirk. Lila simply rolled her eyes and smacked the bare chest of her best friend. They have been doing this since before Lydia came along. No way was she going to ruin Lila’s traditions just because she is dating her best friend.  Jackson shirtless didn't even faze her anymore though she will not deny that he is hot.

“As if I care what Lydia has to say.” Lila yawned as she cuddled into Jackson’s side. Their friendship was like one of those cute ones you read about. They aren't in love though and neither had any romantic feeling for each other. Lila and Jackson just preferred that they were affectionate. In their minds it showed that they were loved by someone other than their families. Even though Jackson has Lydia, he still feels insecure sometimes and Lila is there to pick him up off the ground. They were the perfect combination.

“Go to sleep, Lila. I've got you.”
