Third person POV

Alexander was leaving a long day of work behind in his office. He walked out of the front door of the building and into the streets of New York. It was winter time, and most people were just getting out of work because it was 7:30, so all you could hear was the bustling of people in phone booths and buses pulling by, picking up small numbers of men and women. Alex decided to go to a nearby Starbucks to grab some coffee. He went inside and greeted the man at the cashier, who he knew as James Madison.

"Hey James." Alexander said, giving James a crooked half smile. "Hello Alex, what do you want today?" James asked, returning the smile. "Just a plain black coffee, please." Alex said and handed him the money. James took the money and started making his coffee.

Alex looked around the café and saw a guy, a cute guy. Alex studied him up and down, looking at him with wonder. He had extremely short brown hair, dark skin, and piercing chocolate brown eyes. Alex was so busy looking at the man, that he didn't notice James calling for him to get his coffee. "Alex! Come get your coffee!" James called to him, clearly annoyed by him not paying attention. "Oh, sorry James!" Alex said as he ran up to James and grabbed his coffee.
"See you soon, James!" Alex said as he walked out of the Starbucks. It was 8:06 now. He decided to walk to a nearby park, get some exercise maybe. He walked to a bench and sipped his coffee, watching his warm breath in the cold air.

Suddenly, ( pineapples ) he heard walking behind him, but as he turned to see who it was, a wet cloth was put over his mouth, making him pass out.
