Chapter 5: Confess...

Leo's P.O.V.

Nico shadow traveled away somewhere, the first thought I had was the Camp but then, I still heard the sobbing still, only from a distance. The first place that I wanted to check was the area of where the light was from. I checked around there no Nico I ran back and forth from the entrance to the light tens of times but the sobbing only seemed to get closer and farther as I got away from and went to the middle part of the way that we traveled. After what felt like the 20th time running back and forth in the tunnel, I tripped on something and it was sobbing.

"N-Nico?" I managed to say gasping for air.

"Leo... I thought I said to leave me alone..." Just then a firefly lighted up in between us and I saw how close are faces were. Nico's face only a few centimeters away and my eyes traveled from his gaze down to his lips... they looked so soft. I imagined them to be soft yet cold but also yet full of sorrow and love. Wait Leo shush yo mouth right now cause now's not the time to be thinking about stuff like this!

"Could you get off of me..?" Nico looked down and I realized yet again I tripped on Nico and fell on him and I was on top of him. His face was red and I realized that my face was also red too.

"Uh..... sure." I said quickly and all of a sudden at least a hundred fireflies lit up when I took Nico's hand and helped him up.

"So.... you wanna talk about why you broke down..?" I asked cautiously. As a result Nico who was already holding hands with me or I was already holding hands with tightened his grip. "Guess that's a no." I said with a sigh. Man I really want to be there for Nico when he cries and when he has a problem with stuff... I thought to myself. We kept walking and eventually passed the light. Nico loosened his grip but we still held hands as we kept walking in light of the fireflies since they followed us around making little hearts.

"Aphrodite must be up to her love games again. YUP! Just a love game." I said trying to make the mood happier than it already was. We continued to walk slowly until Nico blurted something out.

"NO HE'S NOT MY CRUSH!!!" Nico, shocked by his outburst started to blush madly which was very very cute in my opinion. He always looked cute when he blushed cause when he does, he looks so innocent and just cute.

"Who's your crush?" I asked curiously wondering what was going on in his mind.

"N-n-nothing, no one er... I mean I h-have a crush but uh... I-I-I just don't want to talk about it" He said then looked away from me blushing even more.

"Oh okay..." I said without even noticing that I'd tightened my grip on his hand.

"It was about Bianca my older sister and my mother dying and losing my only family. Leaving me to mourn and be drowned in a pool a despair and misery...." Nico said quietly looking down.

'"I thought you didn't want to talk about it?" I said looking at him questioningly. I them saw something that I've only seen Nico do once, and that was cry.

"Hey. It's ok Nico I'm here for you." I pulled him into an embrace I could feel a blush go on my face as I wondered what if he pushes me away and thinks I'm a weirdo..? but he didn't. Instead he hugged  me back and I blushed even more. I put my nose into his hair. It smelled like freshly baked cookies. I ran my hand through the raven-black but not too short but not too long hair of his. Nico rested his head on my shoulder and then even more fireflies lit up. Is Aphrodite doing this..? Wether she is or she isn't please don't let this be a dream. I said in my head and tightened our embrace just a little.
