Chapter 2

Tom held the door open for Brianna, as they entered the restaurant they were greeted by the head chef and owner.

"Mr Hiddleston, Miss Stars. Welcome to Alchemy, my name is Brad Jolly i am the head chef and owner here. Your private table is waiting, Louis will be your waiter this evening and will look after you."

"Thank you" Tom and Brianna answered together.

As they arrived at the private table, Tom held the chair out for Brianna.

"My lady"

Brianna giggled "Thank you kind sir."

They ordered drinks and their meals, as they laughed and joked together. As they finished the desserts Brianna knew that this was the time to tell Tom that she was leaving in the morning.

"So I have some news, I am leaving in the morning for LA. JJ asked for me to arrive early" she announced as she studied Tom's face.

Tom sat back and quietly watched as Brianna began to squirm as she waited for him to answer her, he chuckled to himself and then lent forward to take her hand and softly smiled. "I have to admit i will miss you like crazy but work is work and you have to go where you are requested. Plus i only have to wait a month before we see each other again in Atlanta. But in the meantime i have a gift for you"

Tom handed her the bag and sat back watching her closely. Brianna smiled as she opened the little silver box and took out a silver bracelet that had a heart and a star attached. "Tom. Thank you, i love it, can i put it on now?"

"Of course love, let me help you" he replied as he reached across the table to help her. "So i have two questions? firstly if you don't mind, how did you afford to pay for that Penthouse suite? And, Have you won the lottery?"

Brianna laughed "In all the years i have known you, how have you never noticed that i have always paid for myself, whether it be hotels, nights out, flights etc.. My parents owned a really big company and when they died, i was the sole heir to the company."

Tom looked a little stunned. "Wait? So you are an heiress? How did i not know this?"

Just as Brianna was about to answer, her phone caught her attention as it began to vibrate. Looking at the screen she furrowed her brows and looked up at Tom. "Tom, i really have to take this, sorry i won't be long" she stood and slipped out of a side door to a patio area.

Tom watched as he could see Brianna become more agitated by the phone call. He reached into his phone and decided to make a quick call himself. Flicking through his contact list he stopped on the one name he knew would be able to give him the answers he was now seeking. "Sante, honey i need a favour quickly?"

"Of course Tom, what can i do for you?"

"Can you look up the Stars family for me, and then email it to me. Brianna Stars has been a friend of mine for over 10 years and yet i know nothing about her!."

"Sweetie i don't have to look her family up, It was all over the news years ago and then brought up again a few months back. Brianna's family own the biggest diamond and jewel company in the world, when she was 8, she witnessed her mother shoot her father and brother, then she shot Brianna and herself. It was so sad Tom, When the servants got to them everyone was dead except for Brianna, she became the sole heir of the company, since then she has kept a low profile, no one really see's much of her now, she's a bit shy of the camera's. So why the interest?"

Tom was dumbfounded, how did he not know any of this about her. The woman he was in love with. "I agh!, got to go Sante. Thank you, I'll call you tomorrow to explain OK." he placed his phone away as he watched Brianna walk back inside, he could tell that what ever the call was about , it had taken a toll on her. He spoke as he stood to hold her chair for her. "everything alright darling?"
