Chapter 6

Three weeks later Brianna was working hard on set in Toronto, she was at this present time waiting for Grace and the rest of her team to arrive at Billy Bishop airport. She knew that she still had to find the mole within her team, JJ had suggested to set up a test. Which would be waiting for them all back on set. Even though she had a collection of makeup and special effects artists assigned to her, Brianna suggested that having these other six would be essential. She stood trying to work out who would do this as she noticed Grace, Sarah and the others emerge through the arrivals doors.

Grace rushed into her friends arms, closely followed by Sarah, Joyce, April, Cindy, Rachel and...... oh Roz as well?. As she greeted each one in turn, Grace could tell that she was acting differently and that she looked tired as they made their way to the people carrier.

"Bri? What's wrong sweetie?"

"Can we talk about this later Grace. So ladies we are needed at the set, we will drop off your cases and then head on OK?"  Brianna told them as they set off from the airport. When they arrived, JJ was waiting for them along with Matthew and six of the background extras.

Matthew greeted each of them in turn and then hugged Brianna tightly and kissed her cheek, making each of her friends stare in disbelief. Grace pulled Brianna to one side as they all followed JJ to the makeup cabins.

"Bri! What the hell is going on? Matthew Goode greets you with a hug and a kiss, that is way more personal than it should be! What about Tom?"

"What! Grace we are just friends. Matt has been a real shoulder lately. With everything going on".

"What is going on?" Grace asked as she pulled Brianna back. "Never in the whole time of knowing you or working with you, have I known you to pull a stunt like this." She exclaimed as she waved her hands towards the makeup cabins. "You have set up some sort of test for us, why?"

"Grace I trust you implicitly, but one of them is betraying me. Leaking everything I do to Baker/Hughes. So please forgive me, but I can't think of another way to find their spy. You and I are both in this test as well."

Grace smiled "We are? so....what's the test?"

Brianna's eyes drifted from her friend and over to the five others who were all waiting. "Oh. You'll see." she laughed as she stepped towards the cabins. "Okay, let's take our places ladies. JJ we are ready."

"Good morning ladies. I hope your journey wasn't too tiring? we have a lot to get through. So as you can see I have had the team set up makeup stations for each of you". he said leading the way into the first cabin. The four cabins were linked by a doorway and short corridor. "You have each been allocated a station over the four cabins and you will have two assistants each. What i want you to do is follow the brief in the packs waiting for you. You all have three hours to complete the looks that myself and Damon are looking for. Please find your work station and your assistants in cabins two to four, two of you in each cabin."

Each of them looked excited. "So Why are we doing this?" Sarah asked as she found her spot in cabin two and shook hands with her two assistants Paulo and Neil. Grace was in cabin four with Joyce, Rachel was in cabin three with Cindy, Sarah and April were in cabin two. And Roz was in cabin one with Brianna.

"Good question. And you will all find that out once you are finished. Please begin." Damon replied as he took a seat next to JJ.

Each of them had a brief asking them to create a folklore creature, a simple enough job for a fully qualified makeup artist under pressure. By now they should have all been used to producers and Directors who suddenly changed their minds about a look and would want something new in a matter of hours. The pressure was on as Brianna watched Roz dictate to her two assistants, Jamie and Alun. About grabbing a bald cap and some other prosthetics and that they would figure out the colourization once they had the pieces down. Brianna on the other hand had Matthew and Eddie to do makeup on. In other words, the easy job so that they could put their plan to work. Roz worked hard and had her team sticking down pieces while she looked for the right airbrush colours and foundations to use, she noticed how close Brianna and Matthew were and that they shared a lot of laughter together. With Matthew even kissing Brianna's cheek as she finished applying bruising around his eye and cheekbone.
