Today's a day like any other

I woke up at 7:00 AM a day like any other. We left the hotel at 9:46 AM, and the morning went quickly. But not quick enough.

But I am changed I am an owner

We ate lunch in a huge mall, all the stares a ignored. I would get used to this quite quickly. My mother was acting far more generous than she normally would.

Oh, in an instant.

Finally, we arrived at her house. The small building that was full of more life than most houses on the street. The backyard is where the group was.

And who I was has disappeared

Then I saw him, his brown fur was wet. I held him anyway, he melted right into me. I melted right into him.

It doesn't matter now you're here

It was only when the breeder whispered her goodbyes into his ear that I realized. I am taking him home.

So innocent

We sit in the car and he jumps from me to my mother. His eyes filled with curiosity.

I was lost for you to find

He jumps from the car, and runs around the yard of the hotel.

I am yours and you are mine

He calms and melts into me again, then he gets up and becomes tense and barks. I feel shaky, so I eat and feel better. I reward him.

Two floppy ears a pair of eyes

He looks at me while I eat correcting my blood sugar.

An unsung melody is mine

He calms down as I absentmindedly hum.

Starting here and starting now

He melts at my feet.

We will feel the heart of how

His heartbeat is gentle, we sit there for thirty minutes. A time I usually can't sit still for.

Everything changes
