The Murder

Lucy was so happy “He was here too!” she thought to herself and walked faster. She was wearing her most beautiful flowery blue flowing-long dress with matching blue jeans, her hair was as usually braided and she wore her same boring black-rimmed glasses.

She was invited to the picnic by her best friend Amanda. None of her other friends were invited, not even her boyfriend. Lucy had pleaded but Amanda made it clear that Ryan was not invited.She had pleaded but she was happy that she could spend time with her crush, the popular and mysterious guy- Matt Perry.

“You are late!” Amanda shrieked as Lucy approached her.

“I was… trying to look good”

“You wore makeup?”

“Not at all. I wouldn’t do that even for Ryan!” She stated.

Amanda sighed, “I am tired of you but that dress is…cute!”

Lucy Smiled and stuck her tongue out.

“You look superb in your super short hot pants” Lucy teased.

“Hey hottie and…” He suddenly took notice of Lucy’s presence asked Lucy, “And who are you Miss?”

“She is Lucy, my friend” Amanda answered.

“So?”

“She will go with us for the camping” She said with gritted teeth.

“What camping?” Lucy whispered to Amanda.

“Oh… sorry but the plan has changed. I forgot to tell you Lucy, we are going to the mountain near River Ohiotoma for camping for 3 days.”

“But I have brought no extra clothes.”

“Don’t worry I have enough for us both.”

Lucy finally smiled.

She was sitting next to Amanda and there were only 6 of them in the Jeep- THE ROB’s 3 members, Matt, Amanda and Lucy. Lucy always had motion sickness whenever in mountains but she couldn’t puke in front of Matt. She felt nausea and asked the Van to stop. No one even bothered to look at her. It was embarrassing. She controlled herself and tried to doze off.

She always thought that there was something going between Amanda and Matt but now she knew she was wrong when Amanda asked her to come with the most popular group of their college as they were behavingas just friends.

Matt and his three best friends were superstars of the college. They had their own band- THE ROB and dreamed of being World’s Best Rockstars. Matt was in 3rd year and the PERFECT “bad” guy. He was a rich dad’s corrupt son. He smoked, drank, took drugs and crashed parties. He was a known flirt but Lucy dreamed of changing his bad habits ever since she saw him.

Lucy was all different; she was a freshman, quiet, shy nerd, who wore specs and only braided her long black hair. Her family was a poor and conservative one, so she was allowed to wear only long skirts and all those UNATTRACTIVE dresses. She certainly loved her high school boyfriend Ryan, they were truly a perfect couple, but still couldn’t take her eyes off Matt; it was like he hypnotized her. Her bff and the also person who knew all about her was Amanda Parker.

Amanda was a rich and sexy girl and was in Lucy’s class. She had a great voice and so hanged out regularly with “THE ROB”. She wore make up so magically that it made her look flawless and her blonde hair shone with luster. They knew each other 12 long years and it seemed they were destined to be best friends.

“Lucy, wake up girl, we have already laid the tent and you are still asleep!” Amanda shook her softly.

“I have an idea!” Michael, one of Matt’s friends, said.
