Arrival in Verandah

"How did Clay manage to contact you?" Shalyah asked.

" um he said he did some spell your dad taught him but it only contacted witches "  I said.

"well he never taught me that!" Shalyah said with a jealous tone.

"Who cares!, let's just get to Verandah as soon as we can!" Anya and Nathan said at the same time, it's weird how they always finish each other sentences and know what each other are thinking, maybe me and Clay will do that once I bust him out, I cocked my head to the side while I was thinking, which caught Amaras attention,

"Juliet, focus " she frustratedly snapped.

" oh yeah sorry" I looked over and didn't realize they were standing at the door waiting for me to follow.

    "wow I really didn't imagine New York like this"

Nathan said bluntly like two hours in as we past farms.

"how far away are we?" I asked excitedly.

"about 3 hours" Amara said.

" that's good timing at that rate we'll have made it in 19 hours" Anya said happily.

" every hour counts" Shalyah sighed.

" goodnight I'm tired wake me whenever"

I said ,already slowly drifting asleep on Shalyah.

"get up!" Nathan chipped.

"we are in verandah!" He cooed as sly as possible and I rolled my eyes.

"who what?" Aaron groaned.

"lets eat!" Shalyah said equally tired as the rest of us (well except Nathan )

"sounds good to us" Amara said.

        I have no idea why but suddenly that girl Maria came to mind, so I pulled Amara over to tell her.

"hey Amara, can I talk to you for a second?"

"yeah what is it?"

"um that girl Maria you had on vervain" I began shly.

"well she got caught, and um they"

"they what, Jules ?"

"she got caught then they tortured her then, turned her"

"oh  god no " she said looking at the ground.

" Clay tried to protect her from them but,-"

"its not Henric and the rest of them she needs protecting from its her family"

"what do you mean by her family?" I asked now concerned.

"her entire family are Hunter's" she said.

"like vampire hunters?"

"yes, they owed me a favor that's how I convinced them to put her on vervain, they have a gene that runs in they're family that makes them hunters"

"wow let's eat"

    we walked over ,then ordered and sat down and ate, and talked more about our strategy and plan to bust out Clay and JR.

     "I feel so much better, now that I'm full!" Anya chirped full of energy as she opened the door to the van,

"wait what the hell?" Anya said confused.

"what is it?" Nathan asked

"boxes labeled with our names on them, and exactly where each of us were sitting, oh and great, they came with notes, let's get going" Anya sighed.

"um should we open them" Nathan asked for the millionth time.

"fine since your so eager I'll pull over, I'll read the first note" I said.

"please accompany us a ball to welcome us too our lovely town, tonight 7:45" I said.

"why would we wanna go to a ball with them, they want us dead."

"whatever screw it I'm opening mine" Anya said not caring, and pulled out a long elegant reds dress, fit for a ball and read the note out loud.

"I know a great witch when I see one, come see me before the champagne toast

Shalyah was the next person to open hers and pulled out a long black dress

" surprised you cracked our code, now let's see if your clever enough to get the job done

    Then Nathan pulled out a suit.

" looks like your handling my gift quite well, can't wait to see if you can handle it

-Marcus"

   then Cali and Aaron shared one large box and opened it together, Cali pulled out a beautiful golden brown gown with black sparkles on sleeve and Aaron pulled out a suit like Nathans .

" don't be dumb, don't look back, back down now and your lives are spared.

-Hernia, no way in hell"

"then I pulled mine out and I opened my mouth when I saw it, it was a dark royal blue and had sparkles on the chest and Sleeves.

" A good leader fights till the end, but a great leader knows when to back down

    And finally Amara opened hers and pulled out a stunning dark green gown. and surprisingly got a diamond bracelet and then read her note  

" I've missed you over the years, save me a dance?

" wow creepy" I said thinking about the note.

" we have to go this is very important" Amara said let's check into a hotel and get ready.
