"Well Miss Smith, I'm happy to announce that it was her reaction to the medication she was on as a result of the fever," Dr. Melbourne cheers as he hands a now very alert Violet, a lolly pop while her brother continues to look unhappy as he doesn't receive a sweet.

I smile and pinch his cheek before looking back at their doctor. "Thank you so much, I was trying my best not to panic," I sigh in relief. "I'm just happy she's okay."

"Yes, me too, and now we need to see if there is another route we can take to get her fever under control," he sighs. "Maybe you can try the Children's Musinex?"

I nod and make a note in my phone. "I hope it works, she hasn't been sleeping well."

"I understand, I'm sure she'll get better soon, Rory," he whispers, rubbing my shoulder down to my forearm. I smile and shake his hand before lifting Violet on to my shoulders and motioning for Jas to join Tony.

"Thank you for your time," I say with a smile.

He nods, "It's my pleasure. Get home safe and call me if she reacts again."

"I will."

"I want ice cream," Jasper mutters from his car seat, still upset about not receiving a sweet from his doctor.

Tony laughs as he looks in the rear view mirror before looking over at me with a raised eyebrow. "C'mon, Rory, it'll be fun."

I chuckle and roll my eyes. "Fine, we can get ice cream but I need to go home first and grab some other shoes," I laugh.

He glances over at me and notices I'm in my slippers and chuckles. "Fine, I'll take you home and then we'll get ice cream."

"YAY," both of my kids squeal in joy.

I chuckle and open the car door as we pull into the drive way. I already have my slippers off as I'm going to unlock the door. I pull my keys out and go to unlock it when I find that it's already unlocked. I glance back at Tony with a worried expression and he quickly gets out of the car. I open the door and head inside, noticing that there are no signs of forced entry and nothing in the house is missing.

I find my Toms and slip them on quickly. Just as I'm about to follow Tony out of the door I hear footsteps coming down the stairs. I quickly turn and race to the stairs to see who the hell is in my home. I grab one of Chris' hockey sticks and jump out with my eyes shut tightly right as the person hits the landing.

"JESUS CHRIST, RORY!"

I open my eyes instantly and see Chris standing there with a towel around his neck and his hands up in the air. I drop the stick and throw myself at him. "YOU TOLD ME YOU WERE COMING HOME THIS WEEKEND!"

"I lied," he chuckles softly as he wraps his long arms around my small frame. "I wanted to surprise you and the twins."

I felt tears start to fall down my face but he quickly wiped them away. "Well, I'm properly surprised!"

"Good," he whispers before pulling me tightly against him and pressing his lips against mine. "Now how is my baby girl?"

I motion for him to follow me and he does. We head outside and find Tony on the driveway with two hyperactive kids crawling on top of him. I laugh as does Chris. The minute they hear his laughter they're off Tony and running towards Chris and I.

"DADDYYYY!!!"

He scoops them both up in his arms and gives them the biggest hug I've ever seen. "Hi guys, I've missed you!"

"We missed you too," Jas whispers as he buries himself in Chris' neck.

"I missed you more," Violet squeals, wrapping her arms around his neck as best as she could.
