Brendon's POV:

Ariana and I talked for what felt like hours. I had forgotten how good it felt to be in her presence. Sure, I was pissed when I first got here, but after seeing my daughter, our daughter, it all went away.

We created her. Everything about Luna came from Ariana and I. And not to be bias, but she's perfect. She has my dark hair, my eyes, and according to Ariana, my personality. But she's still Ariana's twin. She has Ariana's tan skin, her lips, her beautiful smile, and even her attitude, again, according to Ariana.

I can't believe we created such a beautiful girl.

Watching the way Ariana talks about her is mesmerizing. The way her eyes light up and the way her smile gets a little bit bigger are just a few of the things that make me smile myself.

Even after all these years, I can't help but still feel certain ways about her. When I first met her in person, I felt warmth spread throughout my body. For the first time, I wasn't nervous speaking to someone I didn't know, because it had felt like I'd known her my whole life. And even know, sitting is our daughters bedroom, catching up on what's been going on in our lives, I feel it. I feel warm. I feel at ease. I feel safe.

Of course, I can't just come out with my feelings, not yet anyway. This is about Luna. This is about me getting to know my daughter. This is about me gaining Luna and Ariana's trust. I have to push my feelings aside for the sake of being in their lives. I don't want to fuck this up.

Maybe one day.

"She's awake." Ariana said, pulling me out of my thoughts.

"I didn't wake her did I?" I asked, starting to feel bad.

"No." Ariana laughed. "She's not going to nap forever."

I smiled back at her following her lead, standing up from the floor.

"Should I stay here? Or.." I trailed off. Not really knowing what to do.

"You can come if you want." She offered me a smile. "If you want to be in her life you have to meet her for the first time eventually."

"Yeah." I nodded. "Alright."

I followed Ariana out of the room and into her bedroom.

This was it. I was going to meet my daughter for the first time.

I'm terrified. What if she doesn't like me? Shit. I can't let her know I'm scared. Babies can sense fear, right?

Shit. Shit. Shit.

"Mama!" Luna said excitedly while smiling.

"Hi, baby!" Ariana smiled back, jumping onto the bed, grabbing Luna to hold her. "I missed you. Did you sleep well?"

Luna nodded her head, leaning in to hug her mother.

You could tell they had a special bond.

Luna turned and looked at me, standing in the doorway, and scrunched her face up.

"Lou, this is Brendon. He's a friend of mine." Ariana explained to her.

Luna's face fell into a smile.
