************************************************************************************************************Rose checked her weapons. She had two magical grenades, eight crystal balls, magic rope, her axe, four throwing knives and her wand. She than checked phone to see if her uncle had read her message yet. She grew frustrated, when she saw that he hadn't. Her parents were out of town until tomorrow afternoon and her uncle was somewhere unreachable. Rose grew worried, as she fastened her belt and pulled on her backpack. A few hours ago, Rose had sensed a strong wave of magic, that felt very familiar, the power of the glass slippers. She had been in class at the time. She had to wait half an hour to run out of class, so she could find Amy and George. Amy and George weren't just Rose's close friends, but also part of her guardian crew. George was in fact the grandson of Auroras's cousin and Amy was an earth witch. George was techno freak with light magic and Amy could grow and control any plant she wanted. They agreed that Rose should go to their headquarters, in her uncles garage, to pinpoint the glass slippers' location, while Amy and George would scan the town for any villains who seemed overly excited. Three hours later Rose's phone rung. Rose grabbed it quickly, hoping it was her parents or her uncle, who she had been trying to reach since she left the classroom. But it was Amy. "Rose, we need backup!" Amy whispered nervously. "We found the glass slippers at the abandoned wood shack near Green Swamp, but it's being guarded by the Wicked Stepsisters, the Sea Witch and the Evil Queen. They all seem to have their powers back, plus they have the magic glass slippers for support. We can't them down as three teens. We need more people." "I can't reach the adults, but we still have the Pompoms!" Rose said. She looked over to her creations on the table. From her father's side she had inherited Earth magic. She was half witch. This led to her wondering if it was possible for her to connect her Earth magic with her pumpkin magic, now that she had full control over both her powers. Her wand was made of a thin dark oak stick, with a hole inside filled with a mixer of pumpkin seed dust and unicorn hair. The hole was sealed with the handle, which was made of pink sapphire.

Her uncle Max had said sapphires were known for being calming and helped focusing the mind, but pink sapphires were ideal for emotional and psychic protection. Just what she needed for two completely different powers. Her parents and Max had made the wand when she was eight and she still loved it. At the beginning the wand had been a bit big for her, but now after she had grown a bit, it was perfect. She had started trying out different spell mixes last year. In the end she had waved her wand a couple times, while thinking of little pumpkin helpers. "Pumpkin alive!" she had cried. Suddenly there had been three pumpkin shapes on her desk. They had arms, legs and eyes. They were alive. Rose had squealed in delight at her creations. She named the new species Pompoms. She then named the tallest one Peter, another male one Pat and her only female Pompom Penelope. It turned out the Pompoms weren't as innocent as they looked at first. They did follow Rose's orders, but when there was nothing to do, they became a little mischievous. "Three walking pumpkins aren't going to help us, Rose," Amy sighed over the phone, "We need real people, preferably with magic." Suddenly Rose heard George curse, "Amy, we've been spotted! Turn the phone off!" "Crap!" Amy whispered, "Rose, get back up, before you save us and get it quickly!" Amy then ended the call. Rose stared in horror at her phone. It had two years, since the last time the villains had been able to capture someone from her team. She groaned as she felt the urge to throw her phone against the wall. "This can't be happening!" she grumbled, "How am I even going to find back up, when no one is reachable?" That's when the little bell rang. Someone had entered the garage. Rose quickly walked up the stairs and locked the door behind her. She hurried to the main room, where the entrance was and where the customers usually waited. "I'm so sorry, but we're closing right now. You can come back...." Rose stopped as she entered the main room.
Hawk didn't like the smell of the place. It was kind of oily. Travis had explained, the smell came from these earthen vehicles, they called cars and motorcycles. Suddenly he heard her voice. She sounded a bit stressed. "I'm so sorry, but we're closing right now. You can come back...." Rose stopped as she walked into the room. She had come through an opening opposite to the entrance. She was now behind the large wooden desk. "Hi, Rose," Travis started, "Sorry to bother but did you by any chance feel the pulse of the glass slipper magic? They were stolen a few hours ago." That's when Rose's face brightened. „Guys, have perfect timing."
An hour later the gang and Rose were walking to Green Swamp. Rose was in the lead with Hawk in toe. He had his shoulders back and looked around him, like he was waiting for an unknown attack. Rose rolled her eyes. „He's just trying to make himself look more professional. Not that it's working," she thought. Earlier, after she had explained the situation, Rose showed the team her plan for their rescue mission. Hawk, as expected, wasn't too happy with her in command again, but since her plan had convinced the others, he had had no other choice but to follow. When they finally saw the shack, they split up into three groups. Travis and LingLing followed a smaller path and headed for the back door. Astoria and Joy kept following the main road, but stuck to the shadows. Rose and Hawk followed Travis and LingLing, but soon left the smaller path too and were making their way to the side of the shack. The plan was to sneak up on the villains from three sides and ambush them at the same time. Astoria and Joy would bust through the front door, LingLing and Travis from the back door, while she and Hawk jump through the window on the side. Rose bit her lip as they reached the shed. „I hope this works," she thought as she raised her wand.
