about the story

this story was created on a whim after being inspired by watching the movie cyberbully, yet again. i wrote this short story in less than an hour during my math class as we had a sub and i could care less about the homework when i am already failing and won't pass no matter how hard i try because i already failed the first term.

for a long time, i have wanted to write a story where the main character dies but somehow, it never happens because my love for the main character is too strong and i can't bear for her to die. this is the first story that i finally stuck to my beginning ideas and i am so proud of it.

i created "the end" because we need more awareness about suicide. on an average day, one hundred and five people commit suicide. this needs to be changed. we need more hotlines and more ways of allowing people to get help.

watch for the signs in your friends and your family. watch for the signs in people you don't know because it can happen to anyone. show love to everyone. remind them that you care. be nice. don't say harsh words or judge people for their mistakes because you don't know what goes on in their mind or their home life. they may have a mental illness or they may be dying on the inside. love those surrounding you. sit with someone at lunch you see sitting alone. smile as you walk by someone.

suicide needs more awareness. we need to show more people that while suicide is so saddening, it does not define someone's entire life. they are so much more than suicide if they did take their life. don't judge them for it. and please don't joke about it. don't laugh when someone says they want to kill themselves. don't say you're going to kill yourself because you have too much homework or you got in a fight with someone. it is not funny whatsoever.

this is a real thing. suicide is real. watch the ones surrounding you. below are some warning signs of suicide and the next chapter will be hotlines. and as always, my messages are always open if you need to talk. you are not alone. please don't forget that.
