I was sitting on the windowsill, staring at the bright full moon. I didn't feel any pain, at least, not yet I didn't. I heard a knock on my bedroom door.
"Christian? Are you in here?" asked my mother Amber Brooks. She opened the door. "Why don't you have any lights on in here?"
I faced the window.
"Oh I see. It's your first one isn't it?"
"Yeah," I said. "I only locked myself in here because I don't wanna do any harm to anyone or anything."
"I understand. Sar-- I'm sorry, Mrs. Eastwood wanted me to give this to you." She handed me a small bottle with green liquid.
"What is this?" I asked.
"It's a lycanthropy potion," said Mom. "It temporarily takes away all symptoms of transforming into a werewolf for about a half an hour. If you decide to go out, then take it now so when you feel it wearing off you can come home."
I opened up the bottle and drank the entire potion. It tasted like shit but it was worth it. I put the top on the bottle and said, "Thanks."
"You're welcome," said Mom. She walked out of my room, me following behind her.
