Danny walked out of the school looking around for Richie and his friends. She saw him standing by a few garbage cans. She approached them slowly making sure to keep Alaska close to her side. before Richie could see her she overheard him talking about their encounter and why he invited her. "shes just really chill and she's new so why not?" Richie said shrugging his shoulders. "this has nothing to do with the fact that you think she's..." before she could hear she saw a group of older boys approaching Richie and his friends. 3 of the 4 boys she recognized as the people in the hallway. she quickly walked over to the group and got there but not before Richie and his friend was shoved to the ground. she walked up to the culprit and got in his face. "what the hell is wrong with you?!" she said spitting the words like poison. "shut up slut and go fuck your dog." he said laughing. "wow... how mature, just get out of here." he walked up to her raising his fist but then noticed someone behind her and lowered his hand. "let's get out of here guys." he said to his minions. they all followed him to a blue car and got in. "just wait, slut." he said as the engine turned over, roaring the car to life. within seconds the car was in action, speeding down the road. Great... she has only been here three days and already made 2 enemies.
"you okay?" she said bending over Richie. "never better," he said rubbing the back of his head. Alaska went up to him and started licking his face. "Alaska. that's enough," she said to the dog just stern enough to make her back away from the boy. She knew Richie was in pain because that's the only reason Alaska licks your face unless you have food smeared on it. "h-hello." the tall kid with strawberry blonde hair said. "I'm b-b-bill." he said giving her a weak smile. "Danielle but call me Danny." she said smiling back. "nice to meet you." a small boy wearing a fanny pack said. "you too," she said responding. " I'm Eddie and this is stan." he said gesturing to the tall kid who Henry also knocked down. "nice to meet you stan," she said to the boy who was now brushing off his pants. where do i know them from? was all Danny could think. "welp... i have to go. I'll see ya'll soon. she turned to walk away. "w-wait." she heard Bill stutter out." tomorrow w-we are g-going t-t-to th-the quarry. d-do you wanna c-come?" Bill said with a small, desperate smile plastered on his face. "What time?" Danielle said looking down. "10 am." bill said while the other boys talked about Danny's response. " I'll see ya tomorrow... at 10." her and Alaska started walking down the road when she heard someone whistle at her and all she could do was laugh.
RICHIE'S POV
When she walked away Richie turned around to the rest of the losers. they all gave him this look. "What?" they all smirked. "someone has a crush," Eddie said laughing. "Shutup Wheezy. I don't even know her." Richie said obviously unphased by the comment to distracted by his feelings. the rest of the losers turned around started to walk. "w-whatever R-Richie." Bill said laughing some more. "i used to have a childhood friend named Danielle." Stan said thinking about it. "Do you think Danielle is the one you knew as a kid?" Richie said looking at Stan. "i mean, it's possible." he shrugged and walked ahead of everyone. "the Danielle i knew had blonde hair. Danny has red hair." he said now stating facts. "Danielle was also really rich and she didn't have a dog named Alaska." they had gotten to Eddie's house. "Well i will see ya'll tomorrow at 10 at the quarry," Richie said turning on his heel. "Tally ho!" he said before darting down the road to his house.
DANNY'S POV
I ran to my house looking at my watch and back to look at Alaska. Her tongue was sticking out and she looked so happy. Danny gulped. She slammed into the house only to find her mom sitting in the living room with four other moms as they sipped wine and had lady talk. when her mother noticed her presence, she took it as an opportunity to show off their bond. "How was school honey?" she said bringing the rim of the glass to her lips. "good." She said smiling at the ladies. She walked up the stairs and into her room. She could hear their conversation. "She takes her dog to school?" one of the ladies asked. "yeah, she has 'issues' that need attention sometimes and we just always wanted her to be safe." her mom said and even though she couldn't see her mom she knew she was smiling because this earned her extra points in the group. A few minutes later, Danielle went downstairs to the kitchen to get a snack. "Danielle, You know Mrs. Bowie, right?" her mom said sending a dreadful smile towards her. "yes mam." she said taking a bite of her apple. "mom, tomorrow i am going out with a few friends is that okay?" she said putting her arm on the back of her mom's chair. "yes. give me more details after my friends leave." Danny smirked knowing that after they were gone, she would probably just ignore her. She walked up the stairs and changed into her pink, silk pajamas, and lay down in her pink room, in her pink bed.
