I rushed into the office as fast as my heels would let me. And also trying to not spill the coffee and my hot chocolate. I stopped in the elevator. "Am I good?" I asked. Everyone nodded. "Girl you know he won't be mad at you." My freind Kelly said.

"Yes he will. If I'm late with his coffee, I'll never be officially hired. I need this job." I said. She chuckled. "What ever."

I rushed to my boss, James Browning's, office. I gave a sigh of relief seeing him not there. "Good morning Miss Jacobs." I heard my future bosses sexy British voice. I turned to see him.

He had curly dirty blonde hair, blue eyes, and today he had a morning shadow. "Morning Mr. Browning." I greeted. I'm surprised he didn't shave.

"Sorry I look like this. I was running late." He said seeming to notice me starring. I blushed. "I don't mind..." I wanted to be brave. "I um actually think it's kinda... Um" I blushes more.

He looked at me.

He sauntered up to me and took hold of a piece sold my dark hair. "You think it's what my dear?" He whispered.

"Sexy." I responded breathlessly.

I saw a smirk form on his mouth.

"Well maybe I should keep it yes?" He asked. I don't think my face couldn't have been reder. "If you want." I replied. He backed away, and grabbed his coffee.

I tried to slow my fast beating heart.

"You smell nice." James said. "Um thanks. I um have a lunch... Um lunch date today." I said about to go. "What?" He sounded angry. I looked at him. He looked angry as well.

"Um. Kyle from the recording floor asked me to go for lunch ans I said yes." I said. "Why?" He asked. I was confused.

"Well... I haven't been on a date since prom in high school. And I thought it would be nice." I said. I saw his fists were clenched. So hard his knuckles were white.

"Sir?" I asked timidly. "I think, Miss Jacobs, you should get to work." Mr. Browning said. I nodded and went to leave.

I went to the desk with Mr. Browning's assistant was at. She was retiring so she was training me in case I was hired.

"What's wrong?" The kind lady asked. I sat beside her. "I'm sure you was listening." I teased pointing to her phone. She grinned sheepishly.

"I don't get it. He seemed so angry when I mentioned my date. Is it a rule here that we can't date someone who works in the same building here?" I asked. She laughed.

"What? I'm serious." I said. Which made her laugh harder. I huffed. "I don't see what's so funny." I muttered. Lucy calmed down. "Oh sweetness. He's jealous. That's why it's so funny." She said.

"Jealous? About what?" I asked. "Of the fact your going on a date with a guy who isn't him." She said. "No. He doesn't like me like that." I said. Lucy scoffed.

"Sweety I may be old. But I'm not blind. I've seen the way that good looking man looks at you. And how you look at him." She said. I sighed and looked at James office.

He was on the phone and looking over papers as well.

As if feeling my eyes on him, he looked up and waved me in.

I got up. "Go get him tiger." Lucy said, making me blush. I walked into his office. And waited. "Ok. Thank you. I'll let you know when I have an answer for you. Ok good bye." He hung up.

"Miss Jacobs have a seat." He said. I listened.

"Your internship is almost up is it not?" He asked. "Yes sir. It'll be over tomorrow." I said. He nodded. "Well. Before I make my final decision on keeping you here, permanently. I want you to do something for me." He said.

I perked up.

"What's that?" I asked. He handed me a list. "I have a list here of 17 crates of fabrics for the designers floor." I nodded looking it over. "Now. When you receive them I want you to mark down that sixteen crates came in." My eyes widened a bit.

"We'll be getting seventeen crates... but you want me to put sixteen on the shipped log?" I asked. He nodded. "Yes. That's right. I have a special use for the one. Can you do it? You on my team?"

I sighed.

"Cause I can't hire someone who isn't on my team." He said. I looked back at the paper. "Why don't you sleep on it. And give me your answer in the morning. Let say 10 o'clock?" He said, and stood.

I stood as well.

"Yes sir." I said, and put the paper on his desk.

As I was about to leave, I heard his voice.

"And Miss Jacobs." I looked at him. "I'm sorry if I scared you this morning." He said. I gave him a smile and left.
