Phantom P.O.V
Everything seemed to slow down in slow motion as we all turned on Adalind. Her jet black eyes were full of threat and her snarl was purely animalistic. She was a promise for violence.
In all honesty I didn't all that much about the Kelpie except that it was some Scottish legend of a water horse that drowned anyone who came by her waters. As for what was pure myth and what applied to our friend before us I couldn't say.
Curse the human's gift of fabricating of the truth.
Cristina attempted to yank her with the rope forward to compromise her balance but that only seemed to piss her off. She yanked Cristina off her feet, causing her to land harshly on the club floor. As Adalind approached her menacingly I snapped out of my trance as my blood started to boil. I raced over and shoved Adalind away from Cristina taking a
protective stance in front of my ex. No water frolicking Kelpie was gonna get to my best friend. With a grim expression Adalind went to run towards the door but Mazikeen cut her off and began to attack. Throwing a kick to Adalind's stomach Maze was able to throw her back a foot, but the Kelpie rushed back in no time with her own onslaught. With her hands still bound she attacked with her elbows and legs.
Blow after blow came as the two powerful demons tried their very best to beat the living shit out of each other. But Mazikeen didn't have the Kelpie's desperate determination. She was hitting Mazikeen where it hurt most, shoving her elbows into Maze's sides and throat. She got enough momentum tow twist around and throw a kick straight into Maze's face that threw her to towards the wall.
It was no doubt this Adalind was a vindictive bitch. It was time to put her in her place. I turn to Christina, "what do we need to do to get this psycho detained?"
She pulls out a halter that was made of the same gold as the rope, "we need to goad her till she's angry enough and shifts into her Kelpie form."
I nod a plan formulating, "You take the halter to Dad, he'll be able to hold her down long enough to get it on her. Go help Maze after, I'm gonna go piss her off."
She smirks before running off. I turn towards Adalind who was still trying to get past Maze. Cristina joined Maze to help push her away. I turn towards Dad who nodded at me before disappearing into the shadows. Focusing back on the Kelpie I begin to do best what I do best. Being a total ass.
I whistle sharply before calling out, "Oi Blondy!"
She freezes up and turns around slowly her body quivering in rage and exhaustion. She looked like she was on the edge. I smile kindly at her and gesture to her arm, " you've got a little something on your arm."
In the millisecond it took for her narrow her eyes at me my throwing knife slammed into the wall right beside her arm. She gasped in pain and clenched her hand on the large graze already red with blood. She gritted her teeth and balled her fists before stalking towards me, her eyes impossibly blacker than before and she was dripping in water.
I smirked. Gotacha! "Come take a bite and feed Kelpie!" I send another knife but this time I let it sink into her thigh, embedding it up to the hilt. She snarled and ripped out the knife coated in her blood and threw it back at me just as fast. It just nicked the side of my neck as I dodged, leaving behind a burning like no other. Cursing under my breathe I glare at her and see her skin has even turned darker with rage and she was fast approaching.
Ok time to stop fucking around. Hiding another knife behind me I prepared for impact. She clamped her hand around my neck and slammed me up against the wall. The amount of force that Adalind inflicted was in believable and had me dizzy but I pushed through it. Staring into dangerously alluring, wild eyes I winked at her before driving the knife into her gut.
