Quick Note - This is the last few minutes of Voltron Force before the series ended. This is the 2011 Voltron, not the Netflix one that is out now.

The force was watching fireworks except for Daniel and Keith who are on top of the black lion. Keith approaches Daniel and sits down next to him.
"Not quite how we thought things were going to go down huh." Keith says "We may have eliminated the threat of haggaruim for the time being, but there's still a lot of rebuilding to do. Starting here. With us. I..I'm sorry Daniel. It's time." He says holding his hand out. Daniel takes the lion key out of his voltcom and places it in Keith's hand and says.
"It's just not fair. The black lion was supposed to be mine." Daniel says as Keith puts the lion key back into his voltcom.
"The honour of the black lion helm is earned with integrity. Leading the Voltron Force is about teamwork. It's not about any one person. It's bigger then that." Keith tells Daniel.
"But...(sigh)... I thought it was my destiny." Daniel says.
"You may not be ready yet, but we aren't giving up on you." Keith says while holding out a hand to help Daniel up. He takes it and stands up next to Keith. While their hands are connected the uniforms change so Keith is in the black pilot uniform and Daniel is back in the cadet uniform.
"In fact, we're already planning for your return to the cockpit." Keith says while walking away.
Scene Change
The lion's are running in formation on a desert like surface. Keith's voice in the background says "I had Pidge make a few modifications that I thought would suit your style." With Daniel driving Black, the seat and controls changes so that he is lying down on his stomach and the controls are lower so he can reach them.
Black races ahead and roars then skids to a stop.
"Well, well, looks like Daniel's already coming back to rejoin the pride." Lance says. Black then turns back to the rest of the lions and charges.
"He isn't coming to rejoin us." Vince tells the rest with a worried tone.
Daniel's eyes turn purple from the haggaruim and he jumps at the other lions.
End of season and series.
