"I love walking down this path it is, so breathtaking" I said admiringly
" The only reason you like this path is because you like Prince Charming Cindy" Mady said annoyingly.
" You always knew me Mady, and sometimes I wish you didn't" I laughed.
We were walking down Melby's Sidewalk looking for our father's carriage, he just came back from a buisness trip with our mother. We were so excited to see them so we hurried to get the carriage stop. When we got there our father came out of the carriage looking glum. I then noticed that our mother was not with him.
"Daughters, I must tell you some dreadful news." dad said glumly.
"Can you take us home please, father?" I said sadly
My dad opened the carriage and let me and Mady in. We rode home in silence, no glances were exchanged either. When we got home we got out and went in and our father sat us down.
" Daughters, on the buisness trip your mother died of pneoumia" father said " she had gotten sick because of our open roof carriage and it had rained. I am sorry to say your mother is dead. But we shall have a grand funeral and a great final resting place for her body."
I rushed to my room and put my head on my bed. I could not believe it, my mother died. Those words were really hard to say coming out of my mouth. Cindy came in and tried to comfort me but I didn't want anyone to see me like this. So I decided to hold it in and go back to sitting room with my father.
7 months later
Another season, another month without my mother . It has been tough, but me and Mady have been putting a smile on our faces in the public eye, but at home we prayed every night that we could just see our mother one last time.
Knock, Knock
The door was being rapped on so loud I could hear it from the other room. I decided to open it. When I opened it I could not believe my eyes. It was my father and a short, beautiful women by his side. This happens all the time at the Nobley house, so I did the usual greet. A handshake and friendly hug.
"Honey, this is not a business secretary, this is my girlfriend." my father said sheeply
I could not even believe the news. My dad dating after seven months of his wife's death. I can remember the funeral like it was yesterday. How could he forget all of the pain and heartache . How could he just let it go. But I knew I had to be a mature 18 year old.
" Oh, how wonderful, a new girlfriend. I hope you love her till' the ends of the Earth." I said arrogantly.
" Sweetie, let me explain this to my daughter." my father said.
My father shoved me into his room, and closed his door. I sat down on his bed with a sad look in my eyes , hoping he was just doing this for buisness. But he looked at me with regret and despair in eyes. I knew what that meant, he was planning on one day they would tie the knot.
" Cindy, I wanted to tell you about Lady Tremaine, five months ago but I was afraid this would happen." father said.
" Wait, so you started dating again after two months of your wifes death?" I said digusted.
" No, the relationship started as just a buisness conversation but then it progessed." he said shyly.
I ran off to find Mady and tell her all about Lady Tremaine and father. But as soon as I left my fatther's room I saw her having a conversation with Lady Tremaine and she was smiling. I feared Cindy didn't know that Lady Tremaine was our father's girlfriend and he was planning to tie the knot one day.So I came up with the most thought out plan ever.
" Cindy, will you please come to our room at this moment?" in the nicest voice as possible.
" Oh Cindy, I am glad to hear you finally came out of your room today . Also have you met Lady Tremaine she will be a wonderful help in our father's buisness won't she?" she said in a calm, nice voice.
"Mady, that's what need to talk about business?!" I basically yelled at that point.
Finally, Mady started to walk over to our room. She sat down looking irratated, and finally she began to open her mouth.
" Cindy Nobley, how dare you yell at me in front of father's buisness partners. You know when these type of people come you are supposed to act on your best behavior. Mady you are supposed to be an elegant 18 year girl!"
Mady sat on the bed looking disappointed. I flopped on the bed and layed down on the soft comfy mattress. Then i sat up and looked at Cindy with a smirk.
" But what you don't know is she is not one of father's buisness people. That is his girlfriend and he wants to tie the knot really soon. Do you under-."
Knock, Knock
"Hey, girls I just wanted to make sure you guys are ready to eat your dinner. Lady Tremaine made it, I hope you come out soon so it doesn't get cold."
