Chapt five

Jasmine P.o.V. couple days later costumes above

"Aw! He's so adorable" a girl squeals as her and her friends surround me to coo at my baby cousin.

His little face, covered in skull style makeup, contorts as he gets upset. "Hey, back up, he's really shy" I snap as I hold him closer.

They scatter off as me and the boys mingle with other people. "Isn't that Daniel" Sam asks making me look at the pink with white polka dot curtain that surrounded someone from view.

I knew it was him when he pulls the blonde chick into the curtain.

"Yea, so what" I ask, swaying my cousin around as he giggles. "What happened between you guys" Adam asks curiously, his black hair that he put white hair spray in glistens in the colorful lights.

"Nothing" I mutter as I sway away from my group with my cousin. "Nice costumes" a male voice says making me look up at one of Johnny's friends.

"Yea okay" I say, rolling my eyes. "You're a cute fella, want a sucker" he asks, holding out a rainbow spiral lollipop.

The child takes it happily. "Thanks" I say, smiling faintly before sliding my gaze everywhere.

"Your welcome" he chuckles, helping him remove the wrapper. "Hey, I gotta go, see ya around" he says, looking over my shoulder before walking in that direction.

I turn around in time to see the blonde chick trip Johnny and Daniel run out the doors.

"Shit! Hold on tight, Gage!" I order the boy in my arms making him cling to me tightly before I take off running after them.

I reach them just in time to see Daniel being held up, Johnny and the boy that was talking to me arguing, and a shadow climbing the fence.

I hold Gage closer to me as I watch Johnny do a flying kick just as the shadow pushes Daniel away so he falls to the ground.

I rush over to Daniel, scrapping my bare knees as I kneel beside his head, brushing his hair off his forehead.

His head turns slowly as he watches the man beat up the rest of Johnny's friends.

"Daniel" I whisper making his head tilt back slightly to look at me. He opens his mouth to speak but he passes out before he can say anything.

I look to my side to see Gage still clinging to me, eating the lollipop while looking between me and Daniel.
