Chapt eight

Jasmine Ricci P.o.V. couple days later

I muster up a small smile for Daniel as I hand him his gift, it was his birthday after all.

It wasn't much of a gift, not like Mr's gifts to him.

He gives me his award-winning smile before lifting the lid off the small box.

His eyes light up as he takes the ring and necklace out, both karate themed.

"Just like our pajamas" he laughs, slipping the ring on his right ring finger.

I just nod my head. I was happy that he liked his gifts.

He looks at the time and his expression goes alarmed. "I gotta go, my mom planned a surprise cake that I wasn't supposed to know about" he explains, grabbing his gifts and car keys to his new yellow car.

I keep my face blank, she didn't plan anything cause she had to work, HE planned on apologizing to the blonde chick for god knows what.

I look away from him as I scoff quietly and roll my eyes.

"I'll walk home" I murmur, shrugging my coat on as me and Daniel make our way outside.

"Whatever ya say, doll" he says, his face extremely happy, more happy than when he got his gifts.

"Bye, Daniel" I mutter as I turn away to walk home.

"Bye, Jas" he says from right beside me then I feel warmth on my cheek before I run to his apartment.

Did....Did he just kiss me on the cheek?!

Deciding going to his house was a bad idea, I head to the golfing/arcade business.

I walk to the entrance, not noticing them until I see movement.

I look over curiously and my eyes widen as my heart shatters.

Daniel and the blonde chick were kissing, close to making out.

They pull apart and Daniel excitedly pulls her to his car, grinning like fools.

His gaze shifts around and lands on me before he gets into his car with the girl driving, I watch as they pull out before I notice the golden glint coming from where the car was.

I walk over and scoop the ruined necklace up.

The necklace I just gave Daniel for his birthday, it was broken, a couple chain links snapped and the charm broken.

I muffle a sob as I run to his house, knowing he won't be there.

I walk into his room and write a quick note and set the ruined necklace on top before I walk out and to my apartment where my abusive parents are.

Nothing could hurt worse then heartbreak....
