This story is about a girl who is a princess in China during the Yuan Dynasty. Her father is the emperor and is half Mongolian and her mother was a queen in one of the kingdoms taken over by the emperor. Her mother was Korean.
She is called princess Ki. Even though she is quite young she seeks revenge for her mother's death caused by the new empress.
She saw her mother die and therefore has PTSD and frequent anxiety and panic attacks.
She is a selfless, beautiful and very intelligent young lady however she may be a little bit stubborn and self-degrading.
