S2 Vokaan's Training

"All right let's try it again!" Alex yells as she stands in the blast bunker "We need to get to at least 50% power!"

"I am trying!" Vokaan shouts back as he tries to funnel his energy into a makeshift storage cell.

"Alright take a break for a minute." Alex removes her goggles and safety gear, "How do you expect to go on missions if we have to keep you strapped to the engines to power the damn things"

"I don't know, but this is a lot harder than it looks, I never got my full abilities, they never let me finish my training."

"Well do you know of any one or any where we can go to get me some other form of power for my ship?" Alex says obviously frustrated.

"I could open a portal to the etheric, but they don't really like me. Though you could siphon it from the air, the whole place is made of pure energy"

"Yes, it's possible but, we could probably only do it once before they catch on, the next time we do it they would be waiting for us."

"How much do you need?"

"I've got 2 cells, each cell can power one jump. One travel jump and one return jump.I need YOU to get your power under control, we can't get stranded. The cells can only be charged manually when we are on the ground, I'm not sure about you but I don't like making intergalactic pit-stops."

"Captain, may I make a suggestion?", Bread the ship AI chimes in through their earpieces, "What if we were to make a deal with his people?" Bread says in a tone that implies something is up.

Alex knows exactly what she is talking about, "That is a possibility, though I'm keeping my SparkSaw with me and my suit in battle ready mode"

"What suit? You keep talking about this suit, yet your not wearing any 'suit'" Vokaan asks.

"Oh yeah, it's my PicoSkin, its made of PicoBots. PicoBots are microscopic robots smaller than atoms, they can link together to form any material, they be any color as well. My skin is made vibranium yet its light as regular clothes and practically invisible. I can also turn invisible, and morph my suit into any shape. I try to avoid using it as to keep it a secret, and it's a bit too OP" Alex explains, spacing out like she does when she talks about her technology.

"Alright then" Says Vokaan, obviously doubtful.

"Alright Vokaan open the portal" Redirecting before he asks for a demonstration.

As he opens the portal a bright white light shines through, as alex's eyes adjust to the light she can see that on the other side the people are glowing a bright white, and they are huge, some twice the height of Vokaan.

"Due to the immense energy levels I won't be able to maintain a comms line, you'll be alone Alexandra" Warns Bread

"Stop mothering me Bread, I can handle myself. If anything I should be mothering you, I did create you by the way." Alex snaps back.

"You'll never let me live that down will you?"

"Nope" Alex Calls back as she steps through the portal, "I'll fill you in when I get back!"

The second they step through, they are surrounded by etheric empire guards. Alex and her quick thinking has already turned invisible as is sneaking behind the guards. She's got to be quick as she can only stay invisible for a few moments. She walks up to a guard and siphons his energy into one of her power packs. The guard collapses and draws attention away from Vokaan so he can escape.

Just as her invisibility wears off she whips out her SparkSaw and charges it. The guards are watching her every step, waiting for her to take action. A guard sneaks up behind her, but she unloads her charge just before he grabs her. A brilliant arc of energy flows through the first guard then through the second and then the rest. It does little damage to the people her, just dazes them long enough for her to escape. It does little use as her and Vokaan walk right into a trap.
