Planet Wars Book 1: Beta Overture

Chapter One: Encounter (Part 1)

The date is January 5th, 2854, and a loud, questioning voice can be heard in the SHHS gymnasium.

"Sira Suram is missing?" Logan Solomon said as they jogged around the gym. "She just disappeared? Like 'poof?'"

    "According to the newspaper, yeah." Walter Camelot replied. "Even the police is searching for her, but not a single bit of evidence has been found."

    "Lots of strange things has happened this month." Kevin Nguyen said while catching up to them. "Things like the light of the gym falling and giving Nick Falsone a concussion."

    "Junior Chen's porn stash gone missing." Logan adds.

    "Aitor Ng moving away, although I can't say I'm not happy about that." Walter says, smirking.

    "And the girl's locker room gets infiltrated." Kevin finished. He turned to FengLing Zhang, his quiet friend running behind him. "Anything else, FengLing?"

    "Nine strange looking pillars appearing around the school." He answered, and then stared at Logan with his cold eyes, "but what I'm curious about is how Logan found out about Junior's porn stash."

    Everyone stopped jogging and turned to Logan. They've all been sweating pretty hard due to the jog, but Logan's sweat alone can fill an entire bucket.

    "Wait Logan, how did you know that Junior had a porn stash?!" Kevin exclaimed."

    "And how did you know it had disappeared?!" Walter chased on.

    "I can't say I'm not surprised Logan." FengLing calmly stated.

    "W-wait! I can explain all of this!" Logan stuttered out. "And it pains me that you of think of me like that, FengLing!"

    "We agree with him." Kevin and Walter said simultaneously. After a loud thunderclap goes through Logan's heart, he slumps down to the floor and starts to draw imaginary circles on the ground while looking depressed. And with that, he had to live with the humiliation for the rest of the day.

    "Speaking of which, what are those pillars you were talking about?" Walter questioned FengLing.

    "Strange pillars, they all have different sizes. From the biggest to the smallest."

    "Then let's go check it out after school at around three PM." Logan chimed in after drawing enough circles.

    "Sounds good to me." Kevin agrees.

    "Hey you four!" The gym teacher Clance God yelled at the group of four. "Start jogging or else come to my office later!" Mr. Ronald Clancy, or Clance God, is known to be the scariest  teacher in the high school. There has been cases where female students were seen crying after leaving his office. Obviously no one has any intentions of going there, so they started jogging again.

    Physical education has ended, and the school day was over. While the other three guys changed extremely fast and got out, FengLing was a little late, due to cleaning up equipments. It has always been like this, people leaving without him. FengLing is an oriental Chinese boy that has immigrated to the United States in 2846 (Assuming it was still called the United States in 2846). Doesn't have too short of hair, but has a special strand of hair sticking out near the center of his hairs (ahoge). He had to learn English from nothing, but mastered it in two years. He's always had trouble being social, and always does awkward things whenever he's with people. Ever since FengLing was in this high school abbreviated SHHS, his existence isn't known to too many people, even the people who are friends with him forget that he is there sometimes. It is truly a tragedy, but tragedies are good for stories. He changed into his regular outfit in a slow pace and got out of the room.
