Closing up

As I made my way back towards the restaurant kitchen I see Maya smiling from ear to ear. "What are you so happy about?" I ask. "Don't act like you don't know!" she replied, while still smiling. I was really confused and I guess my facial expression showed it by what she said next. "Girl, I don't get why you're playing dumb, raising your eyebrow and shit. The twin with the twisty hair is totally into you!" she said. "what?! no way! He would never fall for me." I said in total disbelief. "Really, cause from the moment we started talking he hasn't taken his eyes off of you!" she said while staring back at their table. I slowly looked over my shoulder to look back at them. It was true, Larry was staring at me. I simply smiled at him. He waved and smiled back. "See, I told you" Maya hollered. "Maya, keep your damn voice down, this is a restaurant, not a jungle" I joked. Their food was ready, and I was really nervous to serve them again. I had no other choice than to go over there and play it cool. I made my way over to their table and placed each one of their plates in front of them. " I hope you enjoy your meal" before I could turn and walk away they both held on to one of my hands and gently kissed it. "Merci Isabella" they said in unison. I was smiling so hard. I looked down at both of them and smiled. "You're very welcome" Larry gave me a cute wink and I walked away. Both me and Maya had some more work to do around the restaurant, so we didn't have time to talk about my second Les Twins encounter. I went around taking more orders and serving more tables, But the whole time all that was on my mind was Larry. Was Maya right? Is he really into me. I was really confused so I went around the restaurant looking for Maya. I found her placing the cutlery for the new tables. I quickly grabbed her arm and pulled her into the staff bathroom. "What's wrong with you Isabella, you nearly ripped my arm off!" " I'm sorry, I really didn't mean to hurt you" I replied. " It's okay, but what's up? why are we in here?" Maya asked. "I really don't know what's going on! I don't know for sure if Larry likes me or not. Is there anything I should do? I asked while slightly freaking out. " First of all you need to calm down and you can't push anything to happen, just go with the flow and play it cool. What ever happens, happens." Maya always gave me the best advice whenever I needed it. I finally relaxed enough to get out of the bathroom.  As i was coming out I looked over to the table the twins were sitting at, but they were gone. I was somewhat relieved and upset at the same time. "Well, I guess he wasn't into me after all" I said to Maya. "I'm sorry Izzy, I know you really liked him" We suddenly heard a voice shouting "Isabella and Mia, go clean up the tables!" shouted Antonio, the restaurant owner. " My name is Maya!" Maya shouted back. It was almost time to close up and Antonio put me and Maya in charge to lock the restaurant after we were done. We loved closing up because we had the entire restaurant all to our selves. We both started to clean off all the tables. As I was cleaning up my table, I heard a high pitch scream. I went over toward Maya and she was jumping up and down, smiling. "What happened?" I said anxiously "This is for you" she replied while handing me a napkin. I looked down at the napkin and it read: For Mademoiselle Isabella, from Larry B. And underneath it was a phone number. I looked up at Maya. Both of us smiling from ear to ear. "I can't believe this!" I screamed. "I take back my apology from before" Maya joked. We finished up all of our work, locked up and headed home. Before we left our separate ways Maya yelled " Don't forget to call Mr.B tonight " and gave me a little wink. The entire way home, all that was on my mind was Larry. I was so anxious to call him when I got home.
