Twin Bodyguards

Maya went outside to make a call, while I went to get drinks for us all. I was standing by the bar when I felt someone grab onto my waist. I quickly spun around, to see a tall man standing over me. "Please don't touch me!" I tried to say politely. "C'mon baby girl let's dance, let me buy you a drink." he replied while stroking his fingers through my hair. I immediately moved his hand away from me. "No thank you! I'm okay." I said, without trying to make eye contact. "Girl quit playing!" he wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me closer to his body. I pushed him off, but I lost my balance. I started tipping backwards, until I felt someone secure me from behind. I turned my head to see Larry and Laurent towering above me, standing side by side. Larry lifted me back up onto my feet, "You okay Isabella?" I nodded. "Is he bothering you? Laurent asked sternly. Both of them looked very intimidating. They stood tall behind me, with their arms crossed. The man spoke again, "Hey baby, tell your bodyguards to take the night off, you're coming home with me tonight!" "Excuse me?!" I abruptly exclaimed.  Larry cut in, "Is that how you going to talk to a woman?  Laurent and Larry began cussing in French. They started walking closer and closer towards the guy. And before I knew it, they had him cornered. They kept straight faces, and had their jaws clenched. But it was their fiery eyes that stood out the most. It was about to go down, if I didn't stop them. "This fight wasn't worth ruining their reputations", I thought to myself. "Guys, its okay. I can handle this." I pushed them away from the man, but they stood close behind me. "You disgust me! How dare you approach me and act as if you automatically own me!? Have some respect, not only for me, or the other ladies in this club, but for yourself too! I asked you nicely to leave me alone the first time, but you clearly didn't get the point! So you can take your thirsty ass back to the other side of the club and leave me and my friends alone! I hope that's not too hard for you to understand!" He looked at the twins then back at me. Lowering his head, he walked away shamefully. I turned back towards the twins. Larry was proudly nodding his head and began clapping, while Laurent bowed down to me. "Bravo!" "Y'all play too much!" I rolled my eyes and bashfully smiled, handing each of them a bottle of water and took the other two for Maya and I. I gave them a slight push and walked back with them towards the stage.

Maya approached us while we were walking back. I handed her a bottle of water. "Hey. what did I miss?" she asked, looking at all three of us. We looked at each other, then back at Maya and shook our heads in unison. "Nothing!" we giggled.  We continued to make our way through the crowd of people. Larry and I were walking in front while Laurent and Maya followed behind. Larry helped guide me through the crowd by keeping me close to his body, putting his hand by the small of my back. "Thank you for what you did." I whispered in his ear.

Thinking about how the twins helped me out and stood up for me, gave me a sense of who they really are. I didn't expect them to be this way with me, but I like it...I love it.
