Chapter 22💙

Daniel's POV

Man, was Priscilla somethin' or what? She's such a phenomenal girl. Not like any other that I've met before. I finally got to bond with her and so far......... damn, am I impressed! I never knew Hunter's little sister is such a charm. I wonder if Louis thinks about her that way. We have so much in common. We've only talked about our interests and wow. I want to know more about Priscilla, not just only about our interests, but so much more. I feel wanted by her, but I can't describe in what kind of way.

Okay, I must admit it. I did get into Zayn's head on purpose because I needed to somehow get Priscilla to talk to me. It was a stupid idea, but I took the risk and it ended pretty well. Except that I gave her a mark that caused one hell of a pain. But the best part was, Priscilla finally breaks free from the silence between us.

*July 4- Independence Day- 6:48 p.m.*

Niall's leg and Louis's arms were finally healed an their casts were off. So Niall dropped us off in the park at Norwalk. There were a lot of people and a stage for entertainment and a food stand and portable potties and canopies even though the sun was setting over the horizon. The park was huge like about two football fields long. As we were walking on the grass to find a spot for us to set things down, Priscilla and Louis were holding each others' hands in front of me.

To be honest, they make a great couple together. I mean, he looks happy with her and she looks happy with him. But somehow, I don't have such a good vibe about Louis. I don't hate Louis nor am I jealous of him being around Priscilla. Maybe I'm just jealous because I never get to have that kind of relationship with anyone before. Although, I do want that kind of love life. I want a real love life with a person who really loves me. I've never felt loved by anyone in my entire life.

"Right here." Priscilla suggested as she pointed at the ground.

"Good idea, Priscilla." Louis stated.

Priscilla spreads the huge blue blanket on the grass, nice and straight. I put down the igloo, filled with water bottles and Power-aid with ice in it. Then Louis dropped the pillows on the blanket like it was no big deal. Because there's gonna be a firework show above our heads and we all don't want to crank our necks all the way up and have a cramp in the end. We all sit down Indian style as we all watch a duet singing opera. I was sitting next to Priscilla on her left side.

Priscilla starts to talk to Louis about the show tonight and Louis explains it with enthusiasm,"Huge fireworks, the kinds that you've never seen in your whole entire life. They're beautiful, really. It's like glitter and light in the sky."

"Ew, glitter." Priscilla said bluntly,"They're so messy."

You are so right, Priscilla.

I'm being the third wheel over here. I haven't even talked to Priscilla in front of Louis before. Like, I've never had an actual conversation with her in front of him. Maybe, it's because he thinks that Priscilla still hates me and doesn't talk to me still.

I grabbed a water bottle in the igloo from behind me and finally spoke up,"So, is anyone hungry for dinner, yet? Because I am and Imma go buy something from the food stand."

Priscilla responded politely,"A slice of pizza. And if they ran out, then nachos without jalapeños in them, please." She turns her head to Louis,"Do you want anything?"

Louis glanced at her and then darts at me with an American accent,"Yes, I would like some chili cheese chips, please."

Priscilla laughs at him and I chuckled showing my big smile and joked with an American accent,"Okay, that'll be ten dollars please."
