Chapter 3💚

Niall's POV

I whispered to Annika,"Can I go run and give the birthday girl a hug?"

Annika replied to him kindly,"Yeah go ahead. Although, it is her birthday anyways."

"Okay."

I ran to Jessica when she was putting her trash away next to that round table where that girl who I've never met before. I was behind her and lifted her up with a hug. Jessica was really surprised that she screamed a bit.

I put her down and showed her the present,"Hey, look what I got you."

The bag was huge and it had a little cupcake card hanging on the handle.

Jessica told me,"Oh thank you. You can put that where the table are full of my presents are at."

She pointed at the table next to the DJ where I was going to play at. Though, I still need my speakers, headphone and my laptop. I turned around and next thing you know, I see my friend from school, Daniel.

I spoke in my original Irish/British accent,"Hello Daniel, how you been mate?"

He replied back to me,"Oh I'm doing fine mate."

It was starting to get a little awkward until I saw Annika call me and wave at me to come.

I went up to her and put my arms around her,"What up my love?"

She replied and started to introduce her family,"Niall, you know Jessica already."

I nodded and said with a smile,"Uh huh, the birthday girl."

"I know you haven't met our cousin, Priscilla."

I looked at her in her yellow cardigan shirt with her beautiful, curly, brown, short hair. Her hazel eyes were just glowing from the sun. I don't know why, but she was sort of sad looking, like she is losing the sun in her sky. I know she needs to find her missing puzzle piece in her.

I smiled at her and she smiled back at me. Priscilla has crooked teeth and she looks like a vampire with fangs. I shouldn't even think of that mean thing, her smile still made her look the same as she is. I saw her arms and her muscles weren't hiding, that just gave me an idea since I haven't talked to her. I feel like to cheer her up somehow.

I told Priscilla," You have strong looking arms, you want to help me get my big speakers from my truck?"

Priscilla looked at Jessica and Annika like if it was alright to go help. Annika nodded yes like she has her permission to.

Priscilla said her answer a little timidly,"Okay."

We walked through the house and towards the street.

I saw her about to cross the street without looking both ways. A black van passed by really quick. I gasped, pulled her back by the shirt and caught her when she was about to fall.

I exhaled in relief,"That was a close one. What's wrong with you? Don't you look both ways before crossing? You almost got killed and its my responsibility to look out for you."

"Look out for me?"

We started to cross and I replied,"Um... never mind."

Priscilla's POV

'His responsibility?' I thought to myself.

We walked in the side walk to his truck. I saw the truck and it was a red with black stripes. It was a Ram Dodge, I love those trucks.

I said out loud for him to hear,"Daaaaaaaaaaaaamn."

He looked at me like he was amazed and asked,"You think it's dope?"

"Yeah." with a smile.

"You interested in cars?"

"Hells yeah."

I saw Niall grab his car keys from his pocket. He looked at the keys to open the trunk.

He walked a little faster towards the trunk of the truck. Niall was putting the key through the lock. Click, I heard it open and he let it fall open.

Niall asked me,"Would you please get in the trunk and pass me the speakers?"

I jumped in and pushed the box towards him so then he can grab it. When the speaker was near him, I jumped off the trunk and lifted the other side of the speaker. That speaker was huge, good thing it has handles on both sides. We left the trunk open and walked back to the house. Then, we placed it on the grass near the DJ table is at. We walked back again to get the other speaker and repeated.

Then, we walked back to get his headphone and laptop. When Niall closed the trunk, he walked to the back seat door and opened it. He was reaching for the headphone, gave it to me, reached for the laptop bag and closed the door. Suddenly, Niall turned around and just stood there while holding his laptop.

I asked,"Is something wrong?"

He nodded a yes.

I was really confused,"Then what is it?"

"You don't seem like a very happy person, you seem ...."

"Sad?"

"Mmhm. You can tell me what's wrong, I don't judge."

"Well... I don't know what's missing in my life, I really am not finding anything new. All I see everyday are pretty girls who seem to have attraction and get whatever they want. Right now, I know that I'm the most ugliest girl in the world. I'm an ogre and sometimes I wish that I wasn't even born."

Niall's POV

Wow, this girl really hates herself, I want to tell her something to brighten her world. Instead, I just thought of something to do later in the party.
