Chapter 6: First Kiss

Joey's POV

I don't know if I was rushing into things but I wanted Meghan to move in with me. I know everything there is to know about Meghan. I have been friends with her ever since I moved to LA.

I was just worried about what she would think. I was worried that she didn't feel the same way that I did for her.

"Congrats on your new house Joey" Meghan said from behind. "You mean our house" I said. She looked down and stared at her feet. She didn't know where I was going with this.

I did though. I knew what I wanted for once. I wanted Meghan. She was everything that I wanted. I was just too stupid to realize it until now.

"What do you mean Joey?" Meghan asked. "I mean you're moving in with me" I said happily. "Are you sure?" Meghan said. She didn't seem so convinced. It was one thing of her being obligated to live with me. It was another for her to want to move in with me.

"Come on Meghan. You love this house as much as I do. It will be fun. We have been friends for what? Almost 6 years? I haven't been this sure about anything in my life. Move in with me" I insisted.

Meghan jumped on me and I fell onto the floor with her on top of me.

"I'm guessing that's a yes?" I said. "It's a definite yes" Meghan said with a smile across her face.

Meghan's POV

I looked down at Joey on the floor. "Did that fall hurt?" I asked. "It did. It's nothing compared to your fall from heaven though" Joey joked.

I hit Joey on the shoulder and he laughed. Joey could be the corniest person in the world but he always managed to find a way to make me laugh. The world just seemed so colorful and beautiful with him and dull without him.

I couldn't deny my feeling for him anymore. I couldn't resist anymore. I leaned closer to Joey's face and softly pecked him on the lips. His lips were soft, moist and heavenly-like. A second kiss with him seemed like a minute. It was enough to make you fall in love with him.

I pulled away and he gazed at me. I don't know why I did that. I must have got him off guard. I might just have ruined our friendship. Something I didn't want to lose. Something I would quit YouTube for.

I waited and nothing. I moved my face away from his in humiliation. It didn't go without saying though. Joey got up and softly cupped my cheek. It was silent between us but it was made up for with a kiss. This time it from Joey.

"I like you Joey" I said.

"I like you too Meghan" Joey replied.

I put my heart out there again. Hopefully, Joey won't break it.

Joey's POV

Meghan and I were a thing at last. Things couldn't be happening any sooner. It was for the better though. It felt right. Meghan and I were more than ready to be in a relationship.

We saw that it was getting dark outside. Meghan and I could see the sun set from the windows of the house. Meghan closed her eyes as she felt the heat from the sun once more before it left to be replaced by the moon.

I looked over at Meghan. She looked stunning. Nothing could compare to her beauty. It was cliché for me to say but it was the truth.

"You're my queen, in this kingdom of ours. And I am the knight, swearing to protect you from all the dangers the world offers" I whispered into Meghan's ear.

Meghan chuckled and said "Why not king?"

"I'm not good enough to be your king. But I'll spend every day trying to prove to you that I am" I said.
