This is something I found via a person A, B and C prompt.
Draco looked up from his book, Hogwarts: A history. He was trying to finish this chapter so he could get started on his essay, but he was having much more fun distracting Harry.
Harry peered over the top of his copy of Hogwarts: A history and met Draco's grey eyes. Draco smirked seductively and Harry blushed crimson. He shoved the book back in front of his face. Hermione, who was sitting next to him with piles of books, parchment and notes surrounding her, looked over at Harry. She smiled when she saw how much he was blushing. She went back to her studies.
A few seconds later, Harry peered back over his textbook. Draco was still looking at Harry. He smiled again and Harry immediately blushed. His eyes widened before he hid in his book again.
Draco chuckled under his breath. He enjoyed being able to make Harry squirm. He looked back up at Harry who was spying on him from over his book, his glasses to his hair only visible. Draco smiled again and was pleased to see a dark red blush creep onto Harry nose and around his temples. Harry dove back into his book.
Harry softly nudged Hermione. She gave him her signature don't-interrupt-me-when-I'm-reading glare. Harry looked enraged.
"I'm going to kill him!" he whispered angrily at Hermione, pointing over at Draco.
Hermione sighed, clearly annoyed. She put her book down and grabbed his right shoulder.
"Or," she whispered, loud enough for Draco to hear, "You could just ask him to go to Hogsmeade with you tomorrow, on a date."
Draco looked up at Hermione when she said that. She looked over at Draco quickly enough to flash him a genuine smile. Harry looked at Draco during this exchange. He quickly looked back at Hermione before Draco could catch his eye-contact again.
"K-killing... is easier." Harry stuttered.
Hermione sighed again. She was so fed up with all the tension between them. She grabbed a piece of parchment and scrawled on it: Will you go on a date with Harry? She folded it into a paper airplane.
"When I was in Muggle school," she told him, while folding in the edges of the paper, "We used to pass notes in class. We would use paper airplanes, like this."
Hermione aimed the paper at Draco's book. The airplane landed directly on the page he was reading. Draco picked the plane. Harry dashed to hide in his book again, softly peering over the edge of the cover. When Draco opened the paper, he was smiling with a touch of true joy this time. He walked over to Harry and leaned over the table.
"You know, Potter," he said in a hushed tone, "If you wanted to take me out, you could have just asked."
Draco strode away with his normal cocky skip.
"After lunch, then?" he called from behind his back.
"Sure!" Harry called, a little too loudly.
Ms. Pince shushed him. Harry blushed again as Draco turned around and winked at him. Hermione snickered under her breath.
"I'm in love..." Harry whispered.
