I have a friend,
He's funny and smart.
I can't let this friendship end,
Because he has a special place in my heart.
I have a friend,
So cheerful and bright.
Our time together is always well spent,
Because he's the light to my night.
I have a friend,
Who's always so kind,
Yet he doesn't tend to see,
That something is up with my mind.
I had a friend,
Who made me realise,
Friendships are never meant to end,
Yet ours made him leave,
Because it was so full of lies.
I never told him how I felt,
I never got the chance to.
Now I'm facing regret,
Because he never saw my point of view.
It wouldn't change a lot,
He wasn't the one,
But I wish I gave it all a thought,
Before he made me reach for a gun.
