I was taken away from everyone.
I can feel the cold air biting away at my skin. At this point, I don't care what they do with me. Everyone I know is so cruel. I was supposed to be bound to Gaius at sundown. Instead, I'm tied up and forced to watch the burning of my parents. They were forced to die because they cared. Their love for me is what got them killed. They didn't want to see their only child get offered up to a dragon. The one that terrorizes the entire village at that. So they were burned, not a word coming from each of their mouths, as I plead for their lives. It's not until my throat becomes dry that my screams stop as I'm dragged away from their lifeless bodies.
We come to a halt. I'm dumped harshly onto the frozen ground, my face almost immediately going numb once the cold wind brushes against it. They tie me up again, this time i'm able to look around at my surroundings. I'm in a cave, and this particular cave , is home of a monstrous beast. I'm unable to yell as everyone gathers behind me waiting for the beast to wake.
I notice a movement in the distance. It doesn't seem as big as I thought it was going to be, but i'm not that foolish to believe that that's all there is to it. Huge, icy eyes peer at me, I don't turn away, instead I stare back. The ground rumbles as the eyes move forward, coming into the light that's given off by torches.
I hear gasps behind me as it comes closer revealing some of it's body. It lays down its neck and wings to large for the cave. Eyes still staring at me, it speaks,"All of you are lucky enough to still be alive.", it's voice as cold as the wind.
"We've brought to you an offering. We hope that because of this, you'll bring us a less harsh winter this year."
The beast doesn't speak, still staring into my eyes a bit longer, before it lifts his head up a bit to glance behind me at the villagers.
"You thought that bringing this little girl, was going to please me?"
They look among each other, "Yes, we believed that-"
Its snorts," If you all value your lives, leave and take the girl with you. I won't repeat myself, so take this as a warning."
I'm roughly grabbed off the ground before we leave. The monster staring as we go.
"What if we let her mate with someone to produce more offspring?"
"No one would want her after what happened.", I hear Gaius add to the argument.
I'm left outside in the cold. Still tied up as they sit and bicker about what to do to me.
"She needs to be killed."
"Burn her."
"She could be a witch. That's why he didn't accept her."
"I don't even want my children near her."

Dragged to the center of the village.Beaten with stones.
My body is battered in my own blood.
My sore wrists not even able to heal as I'm tied up once again.
I don't fight, not wanting to give them the satisfaction of my screams.
They start the fire.
The twigs below me quickly catching the flames. I look up at the sky ready for it to end.
I'm ready to die today.
In the same place where my parents once drew their last breaths.
I close my eyes. Daring myself to shed a tear as they threaten to fall.
Waiting for my end to come.
