The Ghost In My Doorway

Golly gee

Got to pee

always, always

Got to pee.

Could it be?

Two cups of tea,

Before I sleep,

To comfort me?

I just know

She'll be there,

Flowing gown

And tangled hair-

With a very, scary face-

With an empty, stone like stare-

Do I dare?

Next I know,

I am fleeing-

Have to, cause

I know I'm peeing-

Flying, racing

Fairly fleeting-

My poor heart

So loudly beating.

Only moonbeams

Here and there-

Only quiet

Greets my scare.

Next you know,

I'm back in bed.

Covers quickly

On my head.

Safe from my

Imagined fright-

Waiting for

A chance next night.
