I remember the day my grandfather died.

But time passed in essence

Before I first cried.

He couldn't know how life,

Changed me,

In so many ways.

Creating a woman in challenging days.

The payment of bills.

A yard in my care.

Learning to drive,

Without him to share.

Seeing the smile,

On a truck drivers face.

Weather not kind,

Me finding my place.

My home now mine,

I changed, rearranged.

Learning things now,

When younger seemed strange.

Miss you, feel you, deep inside.

A man who lived lfe.

With a feeling of pride.

Emotional upset,

People close gone.

You would be caring,

To know that I change what is wrong.

When life is not easy,

And food is now less.

You'd approve of the life,

I won't let be a mess.

Wish I could thank you,

For seeing my band.

You drove us to Chicago,

And it was so grand.

The Beatles Tribute

Will forever be,

This time together,

My best memory.

And even though now,

From here you are gone.

Thank you for knowing

My heart lives in song.

I love and miss you grandpa.
