Tokyo Mew Mew story (reader insert)

Chapter 1: Mew Mew?

Before I begin, you best friend is named Stephany because I know someone names Stephany and she's the first person I thought of but you can change it if you want. If you haven't read my description, Zoey/Ichigo and Bridget/Lettuce won't be in this story. Also, I'm using the names from the dubbed version. Hope you enjoy!

Y/n POV

I was walking home from another normal day at school. It was a Wednesday. I was listening to my music through my phone when I noticed a fire truck heading the opposite direction as me. As I turned my head to see where it was going, I noticed my school was on fire. And, my friend's bus hasn't arrived yet. Stephany! I ran back to the school. I looked at the field where everyone was because of the fire. I ran up to someone else in my class. "Where's Steph?" I asked them. "She's still inside." They said and pointed at the building. I ran towards the school.

Stephany POV (last Saturday)

I was at the red data animal exhibit thing. It was a calm weekend. I was able to just relax a bit. It was nice. I went and checked out all of the animal pictures. It's sad how there are so many endangered animals.

Eliot POV (also last Saturday)

The scanner results on the computer showed a matching DNA belonging to one of the girls that walked in. It matched the DNA of........................ "I think we found our first Mew Mew." I said. My partner nodded. "Let's hope the experiment works." He said. I nodded. We then made it so that she and the other mew mews can transform (I don't know exactly what happened). Now we wait until the right time.

Steph POV (Back to present)

I was waiting for my bus when the fire alarm came on. Everyone went outside but something tried attacking me. I closed my eyes, ready for the impact, but it never came. I felt someone carrying me. Ibopened my eyes to see a man with yellow hair and blue eyes. "You need to fight that thing." He said pointing to a rat like creature. It was like a mutant rat. "How?" I asked. "You transform." He said handing me a golden pendant that had pink on it. "What?" I asked. "That's a power pendant. You need to transform." He said. I nodded. It just let me transform. Yay! No learning required! That's always good (she's wearing the same outfit as lettuce and looks like her when transformed).

"Combat casbinets (is that how you spell it?)!" I called. I shot a blast of water at the beast. It managed to pit out the fire but the rat thing was unfazed. What do I do now?

Eliot POV

That didn't work!? She isn't the leader. Only the strongest Mew Mew can stop them. How could I not have seen that before? "You can't beat it alone!" I called to the Mew. She looked back. "We need to find the girl whose DNA is similar to the Iriomote WildCat!" I called.

Y/n POV

I ran into the school building. The fire seems to have stopped. At least I have that going for me. What happened though? Why is there no more fire? I ran into the room where the bus people are dissmised to see someone with green hair. I heard her voice yelling, "What do I do then!?" Stephany!? What!? I walked in and approached her. "Steph?" I asked her. She looked back towards me. "Y/n!" It's not safe!" She said. The rat thing attacked her. Now she's on the ground against the wall. She can't really get up. I wanted to run to her. Then, someone yelled to me. "Hey! Catch!" He called. I caught something.

I looked to see a yellow pendant with pink on it. He then called something that activated it. I was now wearing a pink dress (looks like Mew Zoey's dress). My hair and eyes were pink. I could see then in the reflection of a window. I had black cat ears and a black cat tail. What happened to me? The rat thing tryed attacking me but I jumped really high towards the creature and dodged the attack. I landed perfectly on my two feet. How? I almost stumbled a bit. My ankle has been hurting for the whole day. Eventually it'll give out. I was able to regain blanave on the ankle though so it's all good.

"Strawberry Bell!" I called out. It was the first thing that's cane to mind. My tail started glowing and I got a cute heart shaped little bell thing. "Strawberry Bell full power!" I called. I'm not sure what exactly happened, but a ghost looking thing came out of a rat. I feel bad for the poor little rat. "What the hell hapened!?" I yell-asked to them an who passed me the pendant. "I'll explain. Come with me." He said. I stayed still. "I don't trust you." I said stubbornly. I then remembered Steph was still on the ground. She was sitting up. I ran up to her. "Are you okay?" I asked her as I helped her to stand. She nodded. "Yep! Thank you." She said with a smile. I smiled back. "So what happened here?" I asked her in a calm and gentil voice. "I'm not quite sure. That thing attacked me while I was trying to escape from the fire. Then that person showed up." She said pointing to the boy who gave me the pendant. "Then I transformed into what ever I am. Then he said I had to fight the creature. I tryed and water attacked the creature but didn't affect it. The fire went out though. Then you showed up." She explained. I nodded.

"If we go with you, you'll explain everything?" I asked the boy rudely. He nodded. "Of course." He said. "Before we go, tell us your name at least." I said. He nodded. "I'm Eliot." He said. He then started heading out. Me and Steph ran to catch up. What the hell is going on today? Me and Steph somehow transformed back to normal.
