Chapter 2: Explain!

Y/n POV

That Eliot guy brought me and Stephany to a cute little pink building. Um? "Where are we?" I asked. "Cafe Mew Mew which is a cover for the Mew project." He said. "Wait! So me and my friend are guenea pigs for a project!?" I asked. "No. You're someone that shares DNA with an Iriomote WildCat. And your friend shares similar DNA with the Fin-less Porpoise which is a cousin of a dolphin." He said. Smart a**! Whatever. "The point is, are we just test subjects for your experiment?" I asked a bit annoyed and more specifically. "No. The experiment only works if you have the right DNA for it." He said. I rolled my eyes. "Whatever." I said with a sigh of giving up. "Anyway, explain please." Steph said. I nodded agreeing with her.

"Don't worry. We'll explain." Said a brown haired boy. "Hey Wesley." Eliot said. "Come on in. We'll give you that explanation." He said and motioned for us to go inside Cafe MewMew as Eliot called it. We went inside the building. It was very cute. And pink. And girly. It was cool. "So....." I said expectantly waiting. "Well, my name is Wesley. This is Eliot. We've been doing research on red data animals and people who we can infuse their DNA with the DNA of a red data animal. There are aliens called cyniclons. They create creatures called predisites (in sorry if in spelling things wrong). You need to protect Earth from those creatures." Wesley explained.

I think I got lost somewhere but I understood perfectly. I nodded. "So are there other Mew Mews?" I asked. "There should be three more. There are supposed to be five total." Eliot answered. I nodded again. "Also, you guys start working here tomorrow after school." Eliot added. "Wait this is a real cafe?" I asked. "Don't worry. It won't be too busy. Itbi is just a cover after all." Said Wesley. Now I'm a not relieved but I get the feeling that that might not be true.

When I got home that night, I explained to my parents that I have a job and won't be home until later. They understood and seemed happy for me. They're so supportive. The next day at school, Stephany told me that she can't work on school days. She has to take the schoolbus home and no one can drive her. That means in gonna be working alone at the cafe during the school week. *sigh* I don't want to be here alone.

??? POV

"What do you have to tell me about your progress in getting the blue planet Dren?" My leader asked me. "Well it appears there are special beings on that planet. I believe they called themselves the Mew Mews. They got in the way." I reported. "Find their weaknesses and destroy them." My leader ordered. "Yes master." I said and left.

Y/n POV

The cafe was crowded. I thought Wesley said it wasn't going to be popular. Liar! And my friend isn't here so she can't help. I'm alone trying to be a waitress. I have a cute littles dress though (Zoey's uniform). Steph has one that looks the same but green. Steph said that maybe next week she'll be able to work here on school days but there isn't a guarantee. I hope she can work here on school days. It's tiring being the only waitress in a crouded place. "How will me and Steph know when we've found a mew mew?" I asked Eliot and Wesley once the cafe closed. "Each mew mew has a strange new mark on their body." Eliot explained. I looked at myself. "I don't have a mark." I said. I then found the mark on my leg. "Never mind." I said. I then left.

As I was walking home from the cafe, I noticed a car drive by. Something had fallen out of it. Based on the car and the shiny item, I'm guessing the person in that car must be rich. I was now holding a diamond and gold necklace. I tried running in the direction of the car. It slowed down then stopped after a bit. "I swear it must've fallen out the window near here." Said a girl my age that had dark blue hair up in two buns at the top of her head. "Let's look for it then Corina." Said and elderly woman. The blue haired girl then walked up to me. "Excuse me, did you happen to see a diamond and gold necklace?" She asked. I nodded as I held out the necklace. "Why thank you." She said and walked away. I dog then came and almost knocked me down. It jumped up to my face. "Why hello there cutey." I said to the dog. The blue haired girl turned around and grabbed the dog. "I apologize for my dog." She said and walked away with the dog.

Who is she? She seemed like a rich girl. To be fair, she did own an expensive looking necklace and had an expensive looking car. She didn't seem like someone who associates with the 'poor'. Whatever. The next day at the cafe, Eliot and Wesley gave ma a new partner. I named him mini Mew. It's a pink little puff ball. He's so cute! He can tell me when there's a predisite nearby. She can also get rid of something called an infuser. That's the little ghost looking thing that came out of the rat. We were walking home and he said he senses a predisite. I ran in the direction he was leading me and I saw the same blue haired girl as yesterday. "Mini Mew that's just a girl." I said. "Is there maybe a predisite around?" I asked. He shook his head kinda if that's possible. "Come on. We're going home." I told him. Why did mini mew call that girl a predisite? Does she maybe have a connection with them?
