Brian stood there, thinking about what you had said

Brian stood there, thinking about what you had said. He knew full well that he was going to die, and he didn't care too much to think about it. He didn't really care who he was going to leave behind. He didn't care anymore. He just wanted to let himself go. But he knew that if he said no to your proposal, you would still protect him no matter what. Even in the pitiful state Brian was in right now, he could still think and make decisions for himself- even if they weren't always good decisions.

"No."

Brian answered you with a firm no. He didn't want anyone trying to save him. There wasn't much left of him to save. He wondered why you cared so much. Most people who do care about him were the obnoxious groupies, annoying fans, and besides that, not many people.

"Why?" You asked with an equally firm tone of voice.

"What do YOU think? Would you like some random person following you around everywhere watching what you do and trying to protect you? What the h*ll do you want from me anyway!? You've gotta be after something!" Brian crossed his arms, wanting none of what you were offering.

"I want you to live!"

"What if I don't want to live!?"

"Too bad! I'm protecting you anyway!" You yelled back. "Now, I recommend that you let me be your bodyguard or I'm going invite myself to the job!"

"No." And with that, Brian slammed the door right in your face.

That didn't bother you at all. A slammed door was hardly an obstacle, you could easily walk through it. But not now. Brian didn't want you around, so you had to fool him into thinking you weren't around. You planned on sticking around for a while, invisible and undetected. Brian would never even know you're there.

You looked down at your ghostly form and watched as you turned invisible. Just as soon as you were about to step right on through that door, you had a thought cross your mind. 'Is it right that I'm doing this? Is it right that I am walking right into his house uninvited?'

'No. It's fine. I'm doing him a favour after all!' And with that, you walked right into Brian's house, and made yourself turn completely invisible.

It actually seemed very nice in there. The inside of the house had low ceilings and looked very old. There was dark wood that served as the frame for that house and had cracks in it, showing off it's age. The wallpaper was white and had small decorations patterned on it. The house looked like it had been preserved in time.

You looked around, wanting to know where everything was at, so you went all around the house, mapping out the whole area in your mind. The kitchen was a mess, the living room was even more so, and let's not even get started on the bathrooms. Even the unused bedrooms were a complete disaster area. Throughout the house, there was all sorts of junk lying about, such as boxes, bottles, trash, random objects. The dust from the renovation and cigarette smoke hung in the air. The combination would've made your eyes water and would've made you gag if you weren't a ghost.
