"When I think of all these years, I think of how a single decision, moment and person changed the course of life. It happened all at once and it happened gradually. Life, which I had been living before it, was a simple life, a straight one with all the comforts in it. And then the life I lived later was something else. It wasn't a great life or full of hardship. But it was something pure that people experiences once in lifetime and sometimes never.
But it wasn't easy at that time and I would have happily traded anything to come out of it. I somehow didn't. It did break me, but it also made me. After all these years, I can only smile at those memories.
However, I don't only have memories; I have my present and future with me. I hear their laughter as they chase ball and curse each other for outrunning and cheating. Those are the things they have learned from their father and he finds nothing wrong in it; even when I protest that they should behave well, he says I am still a bore and he is still the same. Yes. He is the same person. The one who was beside me then and made me laugh in the worst time.
When I think of all these years, I think of how a single decision, moment and person changed the course of life, I am just talking about him. Because Life, decisions, moments, laughs, love, family and my world is only just one person and that person is him."
