Summer Love by Tatti-Yanna

Chapter Three:

"So Basically A Hot Stranger Shows up at your door telling you that he's gonna be watching you while your moms gone , and your telling me that you're gonna have the worst summer ever?" Shaliene asked right after I explain what happened this morning.

"Yup" I Say After sipping my Soda.

Right now I'm at the food court with Shailene rebelling against Cameron's orders. After He told me I couldn't go to the mall I turned up the music in my room extra loud and snuck out through the window.

"Your Crazy" Shailene says taking a bite out of her taco. She feels as though that Cameron coming in to my life is the best thing that ever happened to me. I Think that Cameron is a bossy nobody. "No I'm Not , I'm just not gonna entertain him. He seems like a jerk anyways." I say not totally believing what I'm saying. He seems kinda nice but the chances of a Hot Guy Showing up at my door and charming me until I find out he's a complete jerk is inevitable. "Well You Missy needs to get a awesome boyfriend like mine " Shaliene Says smiling and telling a lie at the same time. I Scoff and say "I wouldn't want a boyfriend like yours ".

She looks at me and rises her eyebrows. "Why Is That?" I chuckle a little and shake my head " Your boyfriend is a complete loser " I Say. She sits up more in her chair and looks at me with a serious face " First Off , Don't Talk about him like that , and your just mad that you don't have a boyfriend." She Says getting up and heading to her car. Did She really just say that ? Really? I follow her right to the car and stop her before she can get in. "What has gotten in too you ?" I Say looking into her eyes hoping to find my Bestfriend somewhere in there. The mood is really set when it starts drizzling. She pushes me back while saying " Get off of my door, see that's exactly why you don't have a boyfriend , your so annoying!" Now I don't know if it was the anger or the Taco Bell That I just had that gave me the courage , but somehow I managed to say "Well that's why your boyfriend beats on you , your so extreme" as she closes her car door. After that, her face changed from anger too hurt but then back to anger. She drove off rapidly into the ride leaving me there with nothing but now the pouring rain.

I stood there for 20 minutes until I decided that I would get up and grab a cab. It's getting Kinda dark so it's gonna be hard to see. I go in the street but not to far so I won't get run over. I see a car coming and I start waving my hands but he doesn't seem to see me so I get closer. The driver stops but nearly runs me over.

Seeing the person that gets out of the car makes my day even worse. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STREET!?!!?!?" Cameron screams at me. "I NEED HELP IDIOT" I Scream right back at him. I starts raining even harder so I Just give up. "Forget It!" I say walking away hugging myself. Today has been the worst day ever. First This Idiot shows up to my door , after I basically jeopardize my and my Bestfriends relationship , now I'm standing I'm the rain helpless. Great way to start off my summer. "Wait , Just get in the car" He Says grabbing my arm. I look at him with the worst face ever then get in the car. I sit in the back seat hopeful that I don't get a "I told you so" speech. He gets in and hands me a towel. "Thank you " I say wiping off my arms. " That's why I didn't want you to come here , I knew it was going to rain. " He Says Pulling Off.

"So Why Didn't you Say that?" I Ask.

" I wanted to test you........ You Failed" He Says chuckling. I just smile and shake my head at him. " I thought your friend was gonna be with you". I sigh and say " She Was But she got mad because I told her that her abusive annoying boyfriend Sucks." Cameron looks at me through the rear view mirror and raises his eyebrows. "Sounds like a jerk " He Says putting his eyes back on the road. " Yea , pretty sure you two would get along just fine". I Say in a whisper but he still manages to hear me.

" You really think I'm That guy?" He Asked sounding kinda hurt.

"No" I Say Looking at him.

He smiles a little and I instantly look away. But it's true , I don't think he's one of those guys. I actually don't know what to make of him. We get one and I run to my room to get these wet clothes off. After I put on some shorts and a white undershirt I head downstairs. I smell the most delicious thing none to man , MACARONI N' CHESSE ! "Oh My God what is that delicious smell ?" I say running to the kitchen to find Cameron Over the stove. " Only the most brilliant meal ever made !" He says pouring my Favorite meal of all time into to bowls. " How did you know that Mac N Cheese Was my favorite food?" I ask smiling while I sit on the stool. He looks at me and says " I didn't. It's my favorite ".

"Oh" I say dropping the smile I should've never had. He chuckles at me and slides me a bowl. It's an awkward silence as I watch Cameron choke down he's food. " So , how do you and my sister know each other?" I say actually very curious. He's much younger then my sister so it's not that they went out before or were in the same school. The way that he suddenly stops eating kinda scares me. He scratches he's head and stretches like he's nervous. "Ummm we - um. My older brother knows her." He says looking down at his food. "Okayyyy". After I Finish with my bowl and put it in the sink I head up stairs to my room.

Just as I'm about to hit that last step I feel a hand stop me and spin me around. I land on Cameron's chest but I back up as soon as I'm out if his spell. " um , I'm sorry about today. I was being a douchebag. I shouldn't try to control me.

I'm surprised. And guilty. " No you were right. I should've be never went. Thanks for caring. Good night" I said before going upstairs.
