Dixie pov
Beep....beep...beep i heard i roll over in my bed i stop Alarm clock i started to open my eyes. I slowly sat up in my bed and i started to take in everything in my room, my posters of my fav rock and roll stars and in hand couple posters of gorillas and apes. My fav was the sign posted by jane goodwell that i had bought on ebay. Every since i had discover it i kept it safe and carefully make sure in was in good shape. If it was alter i would be praying to it every night or every moment possible.
Today was my day off from being waitress at 50's themed restaurant i love it but sometimes it got to much. I needed my days off, i thought as i started to get up and i started to do daily simple ones. To help me wake up, get my day started, soon after i didn't hear anyone downstairs. My parents must have went to work i went down, as i slowly i got to the kitchen. Where their was pot of coffee started, i went to it started to pour myself a pot of coffee before grabbing a box of coco puffs.
Pour myself a bowl, my day off breakfast like i have every morning i sat down at the table. It was just me like every morning, just me and coco puffs and coffee as i ate the bowl of cereal. I thought about my test sats, i got pretty high score i needed to get little bit higher score for vet school. At least i thought as i put another spoonful in my mouth it taste so good. Than i took another sip of the cold sugar filled coffee drink that had made to wake me up.
After i finished my breakfast, i was in my bedroom cleaning when my hears my phone. Going off, beep...beep....beep than i went to it than all texts from my friends were the same. Have you seen the news ? turn the news on than i went downstairs quickly as i could. Turn the living tv, on then turn to the news channel where the words readed apes escapes zoo's, labs all over the world 3 people infect with ape illness . than reporter started to explain what was happening, but it didn't seem right. It seem like we were not getting the whole story for right now i thought as i sat down and watch the news for now.
