Ch.5 Reunion

Moving in mice body would consume to much mana so I asked her to put me in some kind of backpack. It was very uncomfortable and hot inside. I had to deal with it, until I get bones or a shell.

"How... long... till... city..."

"2 days of walking. If we get lucky, maybe a cart will pick us up. Then we will get there in half of day."

We had to stop after a few hours, because her back was killing her. Carrying around 20 kg wasn't easy for her. She wasn't tall and had very little muscle on her, but her beauty could be compared with earths' top models. The girl had very long blonde hair, her skin was pale as the moon. Her eyes were emerald green. She was a girl that every guy would like to have.

"Who... is... Long...?" Liam asked to disrupt awkward silence between them.

"He is my fiance, but I don't know if he is alive or dead. If he is alive there is only one place where he would stay. It's a small inn, where we spent a lot of time together."

"Interesting..."

After small talk we packed our stuff and continued our journey.

On the road we haven't met any people, but after Yuzhou explained that road lead to wilderness and normal people didn't dare to go there, because this was home to the shadow creatures. He felt shadow creatures fierceness once and he didn't want to feel that again. He made a note for himself to not go near the wilderness in the future.

At the end of the day, they finally reached Miatshu City. At night the city was closed so we camped outside. When she went to sleep, Lian went for a hunt, but the hunt was unsuccessful, so he decided to do it next time. When he came back Yuzhou was awake, but she didn't ask anything. After I crawled into backpack, she picked me up and went to the side gate that wasn't really known to outsiders. She had a friend that was a guard, so getting in was easy. After guard stamped some papers, he let her in.

Walking to the main street of Miatshu. The streets had a rotting corpse smell in them. This made Yuzhou nervous. After we finally reached the main street, Yuzhous heart sunk down to bottomless ocean. Heads that started to rot were hanging on top of the streets. She started to search for one head. From her beautiful face tears were rolling down, after some time little smile appeared. The head that she was searching for wasn't there.

Before leaving the main street she prayed for Tianxin clan. For each member that was killed.

After that we went to the inn, that she was talking about. After opening the door she started to run towards her lover. Two people had a long kiss in the middle of the hall. This time this was not tears of sadness, it was tears of happiness.

"Get a room" said a drunk man siting at the bar.

"Youth these days" said barmen.

'It's really uncomfortable being in this backpack. ' He wanted to leave this backpack as fast as he could.
