Ch. 6 A Monster

In the dark room a girl put her backpack on the ground. The backpack starting moving. Something started crawling out of it. Mans face became terrified. He put his hand upfront to protect his girlfriend. Slowly a monster arose, that thing looked like a worm, but it had ears and one eye. It was truly something not from this world. He didn't dare to move. He believed that if he moved he would kill him, but this was not truth.

"I... came... with... peace..." Liam said with scary tone.

A sweat started coming from his forehead. His hands started shaking too, and his skin became pale.

"I... only... kill... who... fear... me..."

Liams body started to transform he became a humanoid creature. Long started sweating like crazy. Liam felt Longs fear. So he took one step closer to Long.

"You... will... die... today..." Liam said as he took a second step.

Longs body contacted the ground. He lost his consciousness.

"You went too far" Yuzhou said as she slapped Liam in the face.

After that he came back to his original form.

"I... just... wanted... to... test... new... skill...."

"I don't care" she said furiously, but she had a little smile on the side of her face.

After a bit of waiting he finally woke up. When he saw Liam again he instantly retreated to the side of the bed.

"Don't worry we were only playing with you. He is my friend." Yuzhou said with a big smile on her face.

He was still in defence mode, but after Yuzhou told him everything, he became revealed.

"So you level up by consuming bodies. Yuzhou can you leave us for a bit?" Long said with a serious face.

She didn't want to, but she decided leave them alone.

"Now that she left we can talk freely. Not far from this city there is a town called Teme. It's used to get rid of corpses. Once something fall there it's lost forever. So all criminals from western domain use this cavern. Dozens of bodies are dropped there. So this is perfect place for you to farm exp. "

He told Liam how to get there and things he should be careful about.

"There is one more thing. My families corpses are there too, so if you find my sisters corpse please take the pocket watch from her."

After saying that his eyes became watery and he left the room.

Next morning

"I'm.... leaving.... bye... " he said as he turned his back to them.

"Take care of yourself!!!" Yuzhou said.

Getting out of the city was easy, but finding Teme town was really hard job.
Town wasn't very big, but it was filled with people. His goal wasn't a town, but a cavern that was near the town. He found it easily. He couldn't see anything at the bottom of it.

Long fall down and Liam hit something soft. When looked around he saw countless bodies just lying around. Corpeses that were at the bottom were completely rotten. All corpses were surrounded by liquid that was probably made from blood, water and rot. If a normal person would fall here, he would suffocate instantly.

'The meal is getting cold, I need to eat it fast.'
