Abaylon ~ The Romance of Derrick

Lunch

-Rose's P.O.V.-

After Andy and i went into the kitchen we heard the two brothers talking in the living room. Andy started speaking to me so i tuned it out.

Andy

"What do wanna make?"

Rose

"Hmmn... how about we make peanut banana sandwiches, fruit with cream and root beer?"

He made a funny face at my request.

Andy

"Preggers cravings?"

Rose

"How'd you guess?! yeah..."

Andy

"Then that is lunch i suppose!"

We quickly got to work and soon a big plate of banana peanut butter sandwiches was on the table and each place setting was done. I had just placed the oj on the table while Andy placed the bowls of fruit with cream at each four spots.

When we were halfway through making the sandwiches we heard Derrick crying. We decided to take as long as possible to make lunch.

Rose

"Im going to go and get the boys then..."

Andy

"Okay"

When i saw them laying on the couch it reminded me of my brothers when they were still alive, its been centuries and i still miss them may they rest in peace...

Anyways...

A tear streaked Derrick was sleeping on Julius's chest clutching his shirt like a small child.

I saw my husband was still awake so i told him lunch was ready.

Rose

"Honey lunch is ready."

Julius

"Thanks dear...i will just wake him up.."

Julius gently shook his brother awake.

Julius

"Bro...you need to wake up...lunch is ready!"

Derrick

"Ughh...."

He shifted on Julius starting to wake.

Derrick

"Ok... im up....now..."

He shuffled off of his brother and stumbled to the table. Julius and I laughed a bit following behind.

All four of us at the table now began to eat.

Derrick

"Are we supposed to be eating with children?"

Rose

"No...why?"

Julius

"Honey....i love you but this lunch is...kinda child like...."

Andy

"She said that she was craving it...so i just went along with it...surprisingly its actually good!"

They started eating and looked at me with surprised faces.

Rose

"See! its good right?"

The all agreed and we finished lunch.
