"Lucy, What should her name be?" Louis asked me as we both looked down at our beautiful daughter.
I looked at him, smiled, and replied. "Mary."
"Beautiful. I can't believe she's finally here! I'm the luckiest guy in the world. I'm sitting here with my two darling girls." he whisperd to me.
"Excuse me you guys. But I have to take the baby in for some manditory test quickly. It should only take a few minutes." A nurse said from the doorway.
For the next few minutes Louis and I got caught up on missing sleep. it's been a LONG night!
I was shaken awake softly.
"Love, the nurse is here. She would like to talk about the tests." Louis said softly. His bright blue eyes soften. He knew how tired I really was.
"Ok, I'm up!" I said. I really just wanted to hold my daughter again.
"Good. Now we have some concerns about the tests. What I'm about to tell you is sometimes hard for parents. Everyone reacts to it differently." The nurse said.
"Ok, what is it?" Louis said worried.
"The tests came back. It seems that your daughter was born Deaf......"
